Casa Del pueblo is a truly rare gem! One of those ideal and sought-after townhouses tucked away in the streets of Pollensa.  The property offers style, comfort and quality in a location that brings maximum convenience. Pollensa is one of the most iconic towns in the Balearic Islands, a place full of atmosphere and history where narrow cobbled backstreets intersect wider thoroughfares lined with shops, boutiques, tapas bars and a great selection of restaurants ranging from simple snacks to high-end fine dining.
Its traditional façade front gives little clue to the elegant and modern property inside. Instantly welcoming, the décor throughout is light and tasteful, room proportions are deceptively spacious, furnishings understated and contemporary with a Mallorcan twist.
Upon entering the house, there is a dining area with air conditioning and a separate large lounge with comfortable sofas, flat screen TV with satelite, DVD and an air conditioning unit. A few steps take us to the lovely and modern fitted kitchen, fully equipped with ceramic hob, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. There is also a table and chairs to use during breakfast time with a spacious storeroom. The kitchen has also access to the swimming pool area and terraces. A harmonious distribution of facilities sees four air conditioned bedrooms, 3 bathrooms ( 2 of them ensuite ). In addition, one of the double bedrooms has direct access not only to the swimming pool area, but also to an upper terrace that enjoys very beautiful views over the town of Pollensa and to the bay of Puerto Pollensa.
The swimming pool (5m x 2m) area is very well designed, surrounded by a stone terrace very beautiful lit at night. While it is close to some other buildings, it really is a terrific bonus since there are very few properties with such a large terrace/pool area. Besides the pool, this area also has a pool side shower, a sun terrace with plenty of sunbeds, an exterior toilet, and a fantastic covered BBQ with great exterior furniture that will delight those who enjoy al fresco cooking and dining.
Located in the hub of the town and fringed by cafes, shops and elegant restaurants, the ‘Plaza España’ is only a few minutes’ walk from the house with minimarkets, a bakery, chemist, banks and various family-run stores for everyday essentials all within a similar distance.
Please be aware that lively fiestas take place in Pollença between the end of July and August, 2nd and the spectacular “Davallament” procession takes place in the centre of the town on Good Friday.For a day at the beach head to one of the coves at Cala San Vicente (6.7kms) or the long sandy stretch of coastline at Port de Pollença (7km) where you will also find, water sports, boat trips, boat rentals, scuba diving and a vibrant selection of restaurants where grilled meats and seafood are specialities. Pollença golf course is a ten minute drive and there are many lovely trails for both walking and cycling to be enjoyed in the surrounding countryside and foothills.
