Out on the idyllic grounds, guests can while away sunny afternoons paddling in the swimming pool, snoozing on one of the loungers, or cooking up something tasty to eat on the barbecue. As well as this vast open space, there’s also a leafy courtyard with plenty of spots for a quiet moment, as well as a balcony that gazes out over the Andalusian countryside.
Despite the long history of the address and the colonial-style exterior, the home is contemporarily designed inside, with bold prints, chic furnishings and a black kitchen that’s a triumph of sleek surfaces and clean lines. If you want a little assistance with the cooking, the host can arrange for a private chef to pay a visit.
In the surrounding village of Pinos del Valle, you’ll find a handful of bars and restaurants, but there’s a much wider choice in the city of Granada about thirty-five minutes’ drive due north. The Sierra Nevada National Park starts about ten minutes away in the car if you’re in the mood for a long hike, while Poniente beach is only half an hour away, too.
