Less about old floral sofas and antique furniture, and more about sleek furnishings and high-spec design, this home is a step up from the average waterside cabin. Yet, it still retains all of the warmth and homeliness you’d expect from arching, wooden beams and a cosy fireplace. The impressive windows span wall to wall in the living space, which means you almost always get a glimpse of that gorgeous view regardless of where you are in the home.
After a quick breakfast at the stunning kitchen island, you might venture out to the hammock to catch up on a true-crime podcast – careful though, you might just find yourself dozing off there, it’s that comfortable. Bookworms will be delighted to know they can head down to claim one of the colourful adirondack chairs on the private beach, or read on the deck overlooking the lake.
Come together after a swim in the pool to get lunch cooking on the grill and play a game of basketball with a twist – with the hoop just off the beach, you can dunk the ball, as well as yourself in the water.
With all of the peace and fun to be enjoyed at this home, you might not find yourself in a hurry to leave, but there are a number of great restaurants in the area that’s well worth sampling.
