The 11-seater dining table is tucked into the sunroom, with doors opening out to a beautiful walled garden with views over the rolling countryside. In the evening, stone cherubs appear lit with lanterns creating a magical atmosphere straight out of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. There’s a dedicated playroom for kids, and a pool room for grown-ups – equipped with its own wood-burning stove (naturally). The Nell Gwyn suite boasts a lavish four-poster bed with a dramatic portrait behind and a Jacuzzi copper bath. The King Charles suite is full of art and antiques and has a freestanding slipper bath. Nature lovers will be delighted as the home is within walking distance to the beach and in close proximity to the Brecon Beacons – a 15-minute drive away. You won’t need to go far for entertainment, as the village pub, across the street, often livens up with live folk music. Return to a cosy living room and snuggle up with a plate of cheese and a glass of wine around the warming glow of the fire.
