Found in exclusive Kensington, just minutes from the high street and Kensington Gardens, this home also scores highly on the quaintness factor with its private mews location. Once inside, the home has a coherent, modern look that feels very calming due to lots of neutral tones. While it does have a small footprint, the thoughtful design has made the home feel bright and sophisticated. We especially loved the addition of high-quality toiletries, luxurious bedding and fluffy towels. The only thing to bear in mind is that, due to many windows, some may find the home too noisy.

* Getting into the home is a little complicated – there are two outdoor flights of stairs and passages and there is no lift to access the entrance on the second floor
* You can hear some traffic noise in the home, particularly with the windows open, but not enough to be a disturbance
* The air conditioning is just in the bedroom
* The wooden stairs have open slats, so they might not be suitable for younger children
* There are only stairs, not a door, to separate the bedroom from the living room
* The shower has an angled ceiling, so for anyone over 185cm, it will feel like a cramped space
*Coffee lovers will only find a pod machine in this home
