The villa itself is spacious and grand, with elegant, open-plan living spaces that flow between the interior and exterior with ease. Featuring a large living and dining area, as well as a fully-equipped kitchen, guests have everything they need to entertain, socialise and catch up with loved ones! There are three elegant bedrooms in the villa; two doubles and one twin room. As well as two, modern family bathrooms.
The furnishings throughout the villa are modern and stylish, carefully blending with more traditional features to create a truly unique and luxurious ambiance. The vast open-plan living area allows all the guests to gather in one room, even when doing different things, so everything feels social and open. This effect continues into the kitchen, with a large breakfast island, encouraging everyone to gather around, whilst the nominated chef creates some delicious meals to share!
As you step outside, the private swimming pool is covered and fenced, perfect for families that want some extra security for children. In a large annex to the side of the property, guests will find a fabulous entertaining area, with a large dining table and relaxed ‘chill-out’ space!
The terrace itself catches every ray of sunshine, whilst offering sweeping views across the surrounding landscapes. With private corners and sociable open spaces, you can enjoy quiet moments to yourself, whilst also relishing the long evenings to spend time with the group away from any day to day worries.

Casa Macarca is located in Alfeizerão, on Portugal’s famous Silver Coast. This is a perfect choice for keen golfers, surfers and sun-worshippers alike. Alfeizerão itself offers several local eateries, shops and a charming atmosphere.
The villa is less than a ten-minute drive from Praia de São Martinho do Porto, a wide white-sand beach, backed by dunes in a secluded bay, particularly popular with families and sailors, perfect for long, lazy days at the beach.
A little further away, the white sands of Praia del Rey offer all levels of a surfer a chance to ride Atlantic waves, as well as attracting competitors from around the world. If you are looking to escape the crowds, then Praia da Gralha beach is well worth a trip, offering a secluded sand-beach cove surrounded by bluffs. Although with strong currents, kids aren’t recommended to swim here.
The Silver Coast is known for being cooler and fresher than The Algarve, thanks to the sea breeze blowing in off the ocean. Famous beaches include Santa Cruz, Baleal and Nazare; all sharing the impossibly blue sea and glorious white sand.
During your stay, you have an excellent choice of day trips within easy reach of Casa Macarca. As well as a mecca for world-class surfers, the nearby town of Peniche is a hotspot for tourists wanting to visit the historical relics left behind since its time as a royal fortress and fishing port, the latter still active today. Be sure to sample the freshly caught seafood in a local restaurant at lunchtime.
Obidos, a small but charming town, is just twenty-minutes away by car. A morning’s sightseeing can include a walk around the town walls, a visit to the twelfth-century castle and trip to see the beautifully tiled Porta da Vila chapel.
Also inland, Caldas da Rainha has been visited by tourists for hundreds of years, attracted by its natural springs and restorative hydrotherapy spa. A pretty garden and lake now occupy the site of what used to be a thermal hospital. Take in the Museu de Ceramica to learn more about Caldas da Rainha’s ceramics heritage before heading back to Casa Macarca.
