Located in a quiet area on Portugal’s Silver Coast, Villa Caja is a superb three-bedroom beachfront villa with space for up to 6 guests. Casa Caja is the picture of modern design; sleek floor-to-ceiling windows in every room fill the interior with daylight and command spectacular ocean views. On the ground floor, there are two stylish and spacious bedrooms, one with a king-size bed and the other with a double bed; both have their own private en-suite bathrooms. There is also a laundry room and a garage.
On the first floor, there is a fully equipped kitchen with plenty of prep space and state-of-the-art appliances, as well as a large open-plan living and dining room. The living areas have been superbly decorated, with a large L-shape sofa and a flat-screen TV. Floor-to-ceiling windows envelop the property, providing panoramic views of Portugal’s Silver Coast and allowing direct access to an outdoor terrace. There is also a further bedroom suite with a king-size bed, TV and lavish en-suite bathroom with bathtub. All of the lavish bedrooms have their own private bathrooms, and have been finished to a very high standard, creating a private haven for guests to relax and get a good nights’ sleep.
Outside, guests will be swept away by the stunning views. The living space opens out directly onto a large sunny terrace area that offers sweeping views across the surrounding landscapes. The terrace has a jacuzzi, two sun loungers and a fantastic outdoor dining area where guests can prepare and enjoy al fresco delicious meals for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Praia do Salgado beach is located just 500m from Villa Caja, and amenities such as restaurants and supermarkets are located just 1km away. Villa Caja has something for everyone, whether you are looking to spend long days by the beach, relaxing in the jacuzzi or surfing along the coast! During your stay, you have an excellent choice of day trips within easy reach of Villa Caja. As well as a mecca for world-class surfers, the nearby town of Peniche is a hotspot for tourists wanting to visit the historical relics left behind since its time as a royal fortress and fishing port, the latter still active today. Be sure to sample the freshly caught seafood in a local restaurant at lunchtime.
Obidos, a small but charming town, is just twenty-minutes away by car. A morning’s sightseeing can include a walk around the town walls, a visit to the twelfth-century castle and trip to see the beautifully tiled Porta da Vila chapel.
Also inland, Caldas da Rainha has been visited by tourists for hundreds of years, attracted by its natural springs and restorative hydrotherapy spa. A pretty garden and lake now occupy the site of what used to be a thermal hospital. Take in the Museu de Ceramica to learn more about Caldas da Rainha’s ceramics heritage before heading back to Villa Caja.
