Villa Adelisa is a luxurious family-friendly villa in Carvoeiro, a picturesque resort town along stunning coastline of golden beaches and dramatic natural scenery in Algarve, Portugal. The villa itself is in a peaceful spot with breathtaking views over Gramacho Golf Resort and the surrounding landscape and is only a short drive from the sandy shoreline and the turquoise sea.
Villa Adelisa is traditionally Mediterranean in style with whitewashed walls and red-tiled terracotta roofs. The main stand-out feature is the private outdoor pool with a beautiful sun terrace, and plenty of places for you sit and relax in the sun or the shade. We must give honourable mentions to the charming outdoor al fresco dining area with a barbeque and views out over the town, and lush green gardens, dotted with tropical palm trees and local olive trees too.
Stepping inside the villa, you will find a large, bright kitchen, equipped with modern facilities including an oven, microwave and fridge freezer. There is a living room with comfortable sofas for you to kick back on after a day of sunbathing or exploring, a satellite television and DVD player for entertainment evenings, and a dining room for when you would like to eat in. The villa can comfortably accommodate up to eight guests across four bedrooms; two spacious double rooms, one with an en-suite, and two twin bedrooms, one with an en-suite, and all with doors which open up to the outdoor pool and terrace area. The two bedrooms without en-suites share the use of a family bathroom. The bathrooms are modern and colourfully decorated, and towels are provided for your convenience. During your stay, you can also use the on-site sauna. Together with air conditioning in all bedrooms and Wi-Fi throughout the villa, the facilities at Villa Adelisa are second to none and perfect for families.
With views over the Gramacho Golf Resort course, a sandy beach within a short walk, alongside a selection of local restaurants and bars, Villa Adelisa is an excellent choice not only for families with children but also for those who want to explore the rich cultural heritage and natural beauty of this idyllic part of the Algarve. Located 5km south of the city of Lagoa, Carvoeiro is a charming village known for its sandy beaches, cliff-lined coasts and striking natural scenery. With a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere and plenty of things to do and see it is an ideal choice for families with children, friends and couples alike.
In Carvoeiro centre, 7km from the villa, there is a selection of local bars, restaurants and shops. You can also explore the old historic villages with whitewashed houses and quaint streets. For dining in, there is a supermarket within walking distance, for picking up your essentials.
For outdoor and nature loves, the Carvoeiro region boasts beautiful hiking routes and trails that follow the steep hills and sheer cliffs of the coastline. One of the most famous routes is the Carvoeiro Boardwalk, which extends from Carvoeiro to the fascinating rock formations of Algar Seco, or the 5km O Percurso dos Sete Vales Suspensos trail. Going inland, you will also find the Monchique and Foia mountains, with its highest point standing at more than 900m high.
From Carvoeiro, you are wonderfully placed to visit the many golden beaches or surrounding caves. There are boat tours from Portimao´s harbour which take you to the famous, century-old Grutas de Benagil cave – a spectacular domed cave that is lined with beautiful sandstone. You could also go on a day trip to Silves, 14km north of Carvoeiro, the ancient capital of the Algarve with impressive historical monuments including the castle, city walls and Se cathedral.
