The remnants of its sweetness lay in the form of light honey & sandy hues, which are prominent throughout the property. Spend your days walking in the footsteps of the Beekeeper, or choose your own narrative and fill the pages of your escape with history, romance, sea views and sea food. 
Conveniently located just outside the idyllic village of Ferragudo, Areia offers the best of both worlds. Allowing for a secluded rural retreat with the bustle of the nearby village, set just a short beach walk away. What better excuse for a romantic stroll across the beach. Picture this; a glorious sunset overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, feeling the sand between your toes whilst you saunter toward a local restaurant for a luscious fish supper. 
Perhaps the most striking feature of Villa Areia is the garden. Featuring a modern pool that is complemented by stunning natural florae and spectacular views of the bay. The pool lends a unique balance between splashing around with the family, whilst offering a picturesque oasis for thoughtful reflection in the company of the raw power of the sea. 
Moving inside the home, the simple elegance continues. Chunky stone, textures and sandy honey hues flow seamlessly from room to room. Set across one level, this cottage boasts three luxurious bedrooms, which are all finished to the highest quality. They all feature the same tasteful décor and comfortably sleep up to six people. Beyond the bedrooms, there are plenty of areas to sit and relax, especially after a long day of exploring. Unwind in the lounge, which features a huge opulent sofa, enveloping guests in a cuddle of soft comfort. Just behind this lounge area is a large dining table, this chic piece seats up to ten people. For al fresco dining, there is a large stone terrace featuring a built-in barbecue. Overlooking the ocean and bay below; diners can easily lose themselves in counting the yachts as they pass by, or watch the local fisherman bring in their catch of the day.

Ferragudo
This waterside village is located across the river estuary of Rio Arade. Ferragudo is a cosy, former fishing village and is fast becoming one of the Algarve’s new holiday hot spots. Throughout the village there are attractive traditionally styled fisherman homes, all nestled in a comfortable tumble towards the river down the hillside. 
The village square is home to the main bustle of Ferragudo that boasts many restaurants and cafés, all serving fantastic local fare, showcasing the catch of the day. Picture a lazy afternoon, whilst people enjoy a cafés gorgeously rich coffee & homemade pastry. Around the corner from the square is the main quay, which is overflowing with restaurants filling the air with the most alluring food aromas. 
The charm of Ferragudo is prevalent throughout. The village itself is framed by raw nature and a beautiful coastline. From here it not only leads back to Areia, but also to neighbouring villages where there is much more to explore!
