The grounds offer enormous green lawns, ample patio and veranda space surrounded by rolling farmland and olive groves: an ideal rustic getaway.
The living spaces are fresh and slick with modernist furniture and artwork. The unfussy, minimal design and airy, lateral lay out make holidaying here a breeze. The terracotta and ochre tones of the exterior provide a nod to the local Algarve style. The villa has ample French windows and is infused with light, offering wonderful views from every room.
The kitchen is spacious and impeccably equipped, with an eat-in option, as well as separate dining-living space. All the modern touches of luxury are present, from television with DVD, to air conditioning and Wi-Fi; older children in the group will be well provided for.
The bedrooms each have their own charm, whether it be accents of vibrant colour or direct access to the terrace area, there are four bedrooms, accommodating eight people (with the option for two extra beds for parties of up to ten.) Of the four bedrooms, three of these have double beds and the fourth offers twin beds. Subtle lighting, crisp bed linen and fresh, neutral tones make this a haven for relaxed family holidays.
Three of the bedrooms come with their own en-suite bath/ shower rooms, making this home ideal for couples or adult groups, and there is a separate WC.
The outdoor spaces are breathtaking. The wonderful villa-long shaded cloistered terrace provided multiple space for dining al fresco, reclining with a book or sipping a glass of wine with nibbles as the sun softens.
The pool has a wide patio space for sun lounging or those important post swim snacks. Families or groups will be able to spread out in this tranquil oasis. Imagine taking morning juice and fresh coffee by the pool, gazing out at the far reaching views that stretch to the sea!
Groups won’t be on top of each other with the generous proportions of this villa, it offers a truly peaceful experience. Visitors will particularly enjoy the outdoor barbecue, enjoying grilled fish and a taste of the local cuisine of an evening.
For modern, luxurious simplify in a rustic location, simply look no further than Villa Mabella. Set in a secluded location, Villa Mabella is five kilometres from the local town of Armação de Pêra, and a mere six kilometres from the local beach, Praia Grande.
Bars, local restaurants offering typical Algarve cuisine and supermarkets are less than two kilometres away in the village of Pêra.
Armação de Pêra is a blend of somewhat weather-beaten buildings offering authentic cobbled atmosphere and sea front new builds. The old village to the east of the town by the fisherman’s beach offers more typical Algarve flavour. The 17th century fort remains; originally built to defend the village from pirates, this part of the town has a certain moorish charm.
Set between Carvoeira and Albufeira in central Algarve, Armação de Pêra was originally a small collection of Fishermans huts used by the inhabitants of nearby Pêra. Interestingly, the word Armação is a reference to a Moorish netting method that fishermen used to employ to to catch tuna – the primary industry and source of income for centuries in the Algarve.
Stretching the length of the town is the long, golden stretch of beach between Ponte da Galé and Senhora da Rocha including a backdrop of lime and sandstone cliffs, caves and coves to explore along the coast.
Venturing a little further, Albufeira is worth a day trip. Albufeira is the liveliest and busiest town on Portugal’s beautiful southern Algarve coastline. Previously a modest fishing village, it is now a well known coastal town brimming with holiday potential. Traditional charm by way of original Moorish flair, the ‘Old Town’ offers a little taste of historic and sleepy small-town authenticity. A stone’s throw from the quiet white-washed streets you will find the dynamic and edgy “Strip” for a buzzing nightlife experience.
For those who wish to venture further afield, day trips to Silves, Faro and Loule are worth considering. Boat and coastal tours offer a leisurely pace for exploring
The beaches along the coastline are wonderful. Whether it be long, lazy days on the loungers or taking advantage of the many water sports including deep sea fishing, windsurfing, diving or dolphin watching, the region is rich with natural beauty.
There really is something for everyone in the southern Algarve region. Golf players or those who love water sports won’t be disappointed, whilst culinary enthusiasts can take advantage of the many restaurants offering rustic cuisine and seafood. At Excellence Luxury Villas we pride ourselves on going that little bit further for our guests.
