This charming villa has a delightful landscaped garden and traditional Mediterranean-style whitewashed exteriors, complete with pillars and its very own stone fortification walls. The extremely spacious pool terrace has views across the world-famous Vale do Lobo 18-hole golf course. Some bedrooms have their own private balconies where they can look out over the Algarvean countryside. 

The elegant and cosy living room has a wood-burning fire, a vintage-style writing desk and a satellite television with international channels. The room is also well stocked with books, games and DVDs to keep the whole family busy. Curl up on the comfortable white sofas and enjoy some downtime. Retro drapes adorn the large windows, which open out onto the terrace, while a modern circular coffee table rests on cream tiles.

A white archway leads through to the kitchen, which is well equipped and very spacious, with plenty of wooden cupboards and a marble worktop. Cook up a storm and serve up your creations around the lovely dining table indoors or enjoy an alfresco meal by the pool. Alternatively, make use of the barbecue and fire pit outside, surrounded by impressive plants, colourful flowers and meticulously pruned trees.

Bedrooms are decorated in a subtle yet romantic style, with a mixture of double and twin beds. The beds are all dressed in 300-thread count Egyptian cotton, with splashes of colour that pop against the mostly neutral design. Cosy velvet armchairs, patterned furniture and elegant gilded mirrors add a unique touch to each bedroom. The lucky guests staying in the master suite enjoy a large dressing room and a luxurious jacuzzi bathtub in the ensuite, while other bathrooms have superb glass-encased showers and dual sinks.

Around the house, there is a loose maritime theme, with wall signs and a decorative wooden anchor.

One of the most desirable areas to stay in the Algarve, Vale do Lobo, is famous for its golf resort and gorgeous scenery. The villa is less than 10 minutes walk to the beach, and there are many restaurants and other amenities nearby. Vale do Lobo makes up one point of the exclusive Golden Triangle.
Vale de Lobo golf course was designed by legendary British golfer Henry Cotton and boasts two 18-hole championship courses. Breathe in the sea air while playing on the Royal or the Ocean course. There are lots of tournaments and competitions, as well as a Golf Academy. After your game, enjoy a meal at the lovely clubhouse.
Praia de Vale do Lobo beach is one of the most beautiful in the area and not as popular as some of the other Algarve beaches. The beach has soft golden sand, a backdrop of fabulous sandstone cliffs and warm azure waters for swimming. Another jaw-dropping beach is Praia do Ancão, which is regarded as the most exclusive beach in the Golden Triangle – definitely worth a trip.
Guests in search of breathtaking natural beauty should look no further than Rio Fermosa National Park. Conveniently within walking distance of Vale do Lobo, the park has unmissable hiking and limitless bike trails that pass through salt pans and beautiful lagoons. The park is home to an array of animals and birds.
One of the most popular activities in this area is boat trips to go dolphin spotting. The dolphins are curious and friendly towards humans – up to 50 can be seen swimming happily in the wild. Many boat companies will bring a marine biologist on the trip, so guests can learn all about the clever mammals. Many other boat trips can be taken around Vilmoura, which has a luxury marina filled with million-dollar yachts and several Michelin-star restaurants nearby.
Guests looking for an authentically Portuguese town can visit Loulé, which hosts several lively markets. There is also a fantastic Gothic-inspired church. Saturdays are a particularly interesting time to visit, because there is a gypsy market in town.
Quaint Almancil – another point of the Golden Triangle – is just a short drive from the villa. Discover the Church of São Lourenço, which has amazing blue tiles on the inside. This style is known as azulejo and the Baroque church dates back to 1730. Nearby, there is a cultural centre that hosts a variety of art exhibitions and musical performances.
