This charming villa is close to the beach and has a fantastic roof terrace with views of both the sea and the surrounding pine forest. Casa Lafo has been recently refurbished, but retains its traditional elegance, with whitewashed exteriors with Roman-style pillars and a cobble stoned courtyard.
The outdoor area has a beautiful garden area with an orange tree and countless flowers all around the pool. The jade-green swimming pool has a lovely jacuzzi – perfect to soak up the sunshine with a glass of fizz in hand. There is also an outdoor shower, modern pool furniture and several sun loungers. Guests can enjoy poolside dining, and those who enjoy alfresco cooking can utilise the charcoal and gas barbecue. The villa is surrounded by hedgerows that offer privacy to guests while swimming.
Sliding doors provide easy access to the living room, which has cosy dark grey sofas to sink into among the pale blue patterned cushions. Here, guests can watch a movie on the television. Watercolour floral art hangs on the wall, while a stylish coffee table rests on a cosy grey rug. The space is open plan, with a formal dining table and eye-catching mirrors. The rustic kitchen is fully equipped, with plenty of wooden cupboards, an oven and even a dishwasher. Perfect for guests who like to cook up a storm.
There are two bedrooms on the ground floor and two on the upper floor. Bedrooms are designed in a relaxed and minimal style and can sleep up to eight guests. Airy and with lots of natural light, the bedrooms have pretty art on the walls and are decorated in a neutral colour palette. The lucky guests who stay in the master bedroom enjoy a king size bed, a walk-in wardrobe and even a private sun terrace. 
Bathrooms are beautiful, and some of them even have luxurious massage baths, where guests can enjoy a peaceful soak. One of the most special places to enjoy the gorgeous setting is on the roof terrace, where there is outdoor lounge furniture and sweeping views of the Algarve.

The location of Casa Lupo is excellent, nestled between Quinta do Lago and Vale do Loba in the Golden Triangle area of the Algarve. It’s tucked away, yet close to lots of amenities. The villa is just five minutes’ walk from the breathtaking Rio Fermosa National Park trails and a five minute drive from Quinta gym. Quinta shopping centre is also a 10 minute drive away. 
The best part of this location is how close it is to Ancão beach, the most exclusive in the Golden Triangle area. With 7km of golden sand and a dramatic sandstone cliff backdrop, this beach is perfect for watersports. Guests can get stuck into water-skiing, stand up paddleboarding and kayaking. Ancão beach is also home to Dois Passos, a famous fish restaurant. The beach is just a six minute walk from the villa.
The Algarve is one of the best locations in the world for golfing, such as the award-winning Quinto do Lago resort, which boasts a performance centre, a Paul McKinley Golf Academy and championship-level courses, all with superb views of the Portuguese countryside. The South Course has stunning views of Rio Fermosa National Park. This nature reserve has lots of exhilarating hiking and limitless bike trails that pass through salt pans and amazing lagoons. The park is home to an array of wildlife and stunning natural beauty.
One of the most popular activities for tourists in the region is dolphin spotting. The dolphins are curious and friendly towards humans – up to 50 can be seen swimming happily in the wilderness. Many boat companies will bring a marine biologist on board, so guests can learn all about the clever mammals. Lots of boat trips can be taken around Vilmoura, which has a luxury marina filled with million-dollar yachts and lots of fine restaurants nearby.
Peaceful Almancil is just a short drive from the villa, where guests can admire the Church of São Lourenço, which has dazzling blue tiles on the inside. This style of design is known as azulejo and the Baroque church dates back to 1730. Nearby, there is a lovely cultural centre that hosts a variety of art exhibitions as well as musical performances.
Faro is also close enough for a day trip from the villa – perfect for some sightseeing and delicious local cuisine. Popular sights include the Arco de Vila is a neoclassical waterside gateway and the Milreu ruins. Just 10 minutes’ walk up a hillside lies the mysterious Roman-era mosaics, including a very well-preserved fish design and the inner workings of an ancient bath.
In terms of food, why not try arroz de linguerao, a hearty rice dish with razor clams and fresh seafood. For dessert, try some delicious pastels de nata, an egg custard tart, dusted with cinnamon.
