Quinta da Prainha is a modern, comfortable 3 bedroom villa in the fabulous Prainha Village holiday resort, just 400m from the spectacular beach and only 2km from the pretty village of Alvor. The villa is ideal for a family or a group of friends. Prainha Village offers stunning sea views, large manicured gardens and a wide range of excellent services and facilities, including 3 outdoor pools of which children can use 2 and including the Atlantic pool on the cliff with breathtaking views over the ocean, an elevator built into the rocks giving access to the beautiful beach, 4 restaurants, a tennis court and a padel court. The complex is well-maintained and is very peaceful.
The lively resort of Praia da Rocha is also close by as well as Portimao. Golf fans will be delighted with the nearby Alto Golf & Country Club and Penina Golf Resort courses.
Quinta da Prainha is tasteful, bright and spacious. The open plan living and dining area opens onto a lovely decked terrace with covered alfresco dining. The kitchen is separate and is modern and fully-equipped. Outside, the 5m x 3m swimming pool is lovely in the garden and guests also have access to the community pools. One of the bedrooms is on the ground floor with twin beds. There is a separate shower room. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and another with twin beds. There is a second smart bathroom upstairs. There is also a lovely roof terrace which enjoys the beautiful views of the resort and the azure blue sea.
Quinta da Prainha is an excellent base for a wonderful beach holiday. The facilities at the Prainha Village resort are wonderful with so much space to relax and enjoy the Portuguese sunshine and with direct access to the beach. 

The pretty town of Alvor lies on the banks of the Alvor Estuary, overlooking the peaceful marshlands of the Ria de Alvor Nature Reserve. You can explore the reserve by foot or bike and may even spot flamingoes amongst the fauna and flora. A boardwalk stretches from the town to the fabulous beach Praia do Alvor. Alvor has some wonderful, atmospheric restaurants and quaint shops scattered along the cobbled streets of the charming historic centre. The wide, palm tree-lined riverfront is lovely and a hub of activity.
Praia da Rocha is a bustling, lively resort  offering 24/7 fun and entertainment. There are themed bars in the main street, Tomas Cabreira as well as a nightclub and a casino. There are more exclusive and stylish bars and restaurants around the marina. The grand beach is surrounded by incredible rock formations. Literally, the name Praia da Rocha means ‘Rocky Beach’. There are many watersports available on the beach including surfing, jet skiing, parasailing and kayaking and several beach bars along the boardwalk. If you walk along the beach you will pass a tunnel in the rock and arrive at Praia dos Tres Castelos with its three big rocks in the sea and many rocks in the water. If you keep walking you will arrive at Praia do Vau.
Portimao was traditionally a centre for shipbuilding, sardine fishing and fish processing but is now a tourist mecca with fantastic shopping and cosmopolitan restaurants and bars. The Aqua Portimao Shopping Centre is quite new. The scenic promenade leads to tree-lined plazas of the old town and the wonderful and interesting museums such as the Museu de Portimao which displays the history of the fish canning industry in Portimao. Portimao is known as the sardine capital of the Algarve so you can easily find a good restaurant in the city with a great view over the water and a plate of delicious grilled sardines, fresh bread, a salad and local red wine. The parish church, Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Coneicao dates back to the 15th century though the Gothic portal is all that remains of the original building.
