Villa Salomao is a majestic, stand-alone home in buttery yellows and soft ochres, with Moorish-influenced architecture; set sedately within its own grounds, shaded by swaying palms and tropical vegetation, just moments from the glittering Algarve waters.
Stylishly executed with notes of North African artistry, this home is designed for indulgence and low-key luxury, dropping the pace and imbibing the favours and tones of the region at leisure. Outdoor living is styled impeccably at Villa Salomao; sumptuous terraces are punctuated  with indulgent loungers and elegant parasols as well as soft cushions scattered across the day beds. Guests can enjoy long and lazy meals on the sumptuous and very civilised dining terrace, under the shade, or enjoy grilled sea-food and local wines by the built-in barbecue. 
Villa Salomao can accommodate six guests across three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The interiors offer flawless attention to detail, brimming with artistry and artefacts, rich crimsons and deep burgundies and lavish fabrics – a little hint of ‘Maroccan souk’ is evident in the living-dining area. The kitchen, in contrast, is a sleek, contemporary and cutting edge, offering glossy, handle-less units with top-range fittings, worthy of an interiors magazine, self catering will be a delight!
Each of the bedrooms offers serenity and uncompromising tranquillity along with individual accents of vivid colour, whether it be tones of rose, of maroon or ethnic artwork alongside abstract oil paintings, this home is not short of character and designer flair, whilst offering home-like comfort and ease.
Villa Salomao is in a prestigious spot, just a stroll away from the beach, set within its own private enclave of style, designer panache and cosy, home-from-home appeal, with flawless attention to detail and endless scope for outdoor living. Villa Salomao is nestled in the town of Sesmarias, within walking distance to Coelha beach, which is known for its sand dunes. Another superb beach, Praia da Marinha, is circa 2 km from the villa; this is considered one of Europe’s top beaches. The clear waters and long sandy stretches along with interesting coves make this an ideal family day out.
The supermarket for provisions is a short distance away. Likewise, bars and local family-run restaurants and bars for sampling the rustic cuisine of the region or seafood are only a kilometre’s distance.
Faro airport is 45 kilometres away. The rugged cliffs around the coastline in this stretch of the Algarve are among the most beautiful in Portugal. There is ample opportunity for boat trips; a particular delight is taking the boat from Portimao’s harbour to visit the century’s old caves.
There truly is something for everyone in this region: trekking, water sports, golf (5 km distance), horse riding – outdoors enthusiasts will be spoilt for choice!
A further 6 kilometres along the coast is the resort town of Albufeira. Albufeira is the liveliest and busiest town on Portugal’s beautiful southern Algarve coastline.
