Built in 1800 and recently renovated, Maison des Cerisiers is a traditional home delicately modernised for increased comfort and enjoyment without sacrificing any of its originall charm.
On entering, you will be greeted by the beautiful dining area, exuding traditional allure, with striped drapes matching the striped, beamed ceiling and a beautiful mixture of old and new furniture. The open-plan kitchen is a blend of contemporary design and traditional styles, with a pastel blue theme, rustic patterned tiles and boundless surface space to get everyone involved in preparing some culinary delights! The living area continues the theme of fusing old and new, with vintage chairs and tables alongside more modern furniture, all perfectly placed in front of the traditional open fireplace. 
As you ascend the stairs to explore the house further, the two hundred years of history become apparent, with a characterful winding, narrow staircase and deep red tiled flooring. 
There are five charming bedrooms, each uniquely demonstrating the age and history of the home, whilst featuring modern comforts. The bathrooms are an array of interesting shapes and sizes, with quirky highlights such as a tin bath.
For the full appreciation of the home, one must only step into the garden, with its huge private pool, endless seating options and fabulous alfresco dining area among the cherry trees – it is the dream environment to relax, unwind and make the most of the fabulous weather.  So, whether you’re into sunbathing by the pool, sipping a glass of wine by the soft light of dusk or engaging in lively discussion around the dinner table, you can enjoy all of these in the great outdoors and by the fine weather of Provence.
An utterly rural retreat, located in the mesmerising Luberon National Park, this villa is ideal for those who enjoy the scenery and tranquillity of the countryside.  And yet, you’re within a five-minute drive of the little ochre village of Gargas with a couple of restaurants, surrounded by vineyards, truly giving you the best of both worlds. Maison des Cerisiers is located just under 2km from the ochre village of Gargas which features a couple of restaurants, a bakery and a couple of shops. The village specialises in jams and candied fruit as well as a couple of excellent wines which you can sample in the nearby wineries.
Set in the wonderful countryside of the Luberon National Park, the village is surrounded by vineyards and ochre quarries dug into the pine-covered hills in the distance. This is a wonderful area for hiking and biking with the GR34 passing through on the way to Roussillon.
Saint-Saturnin-lès-Apt (5km) is a historical village with architecture ranging from Roman times to the 19th century. Cherries are grown here and there are some lovely restaurants. Don’t forget to visit the lovely market town of Apt (7.5km) nearby with its remarkable Saturday morning market.
Roussillon (8km) is known to be one of France’s Plus Beaux Villages due to its magical hilltop setting and maze of narrow winding streets and pretty squares.  It’s a place that has always been much loved by artists and you will be able to explore the lovely galleries and boutiques the village has to offer as well as follow an art trail. The local gastronomy is divine as well so make sure you try out one of the regional restaurants.
You are also within close driving distance of the archetypal Provencal villages of Bonnieux (16km), Lacoste (16km) and Van Gogh’s beloved Gordes (18km), another one of France’s Plus Beaux Villages.
Just half an hour north is the impressive city of Avignon (55km), with a UNESCO World Heritage Site historic centre, each year it hosts the delightful Festival d’Avignon which attracts visitors from all over the world.
