This charming house in a tranquil gentle wooded area near Murs is a sensory delight with the scent of pine trees and simply superb views over the Luberon towards Les Alpilles.
With comfortable modern interiors, this holiday home has four air conditioned bedrooms, two of which are in a guest annexe with kitchenette and bathroom. Maison Mode is therefore ideal for a group of friends or family who enjoy conviviality but like a quiet breakfast and peace at the end of the day.
In the main house there is ample living and dining space and one of its two bedrooms has a delightful terrace with spectacular views. The heated pool and al fresco lounge and dining area are just a few steps from the house and annexe, overlooking the fine landscape.
The nearby village of Murs lies on a plateau between vineyards and cherry orchards with fabulous hiking and biking trails into the hills and idyllic neighbouring villages and towns. Gordes, officially one of the most beautiful villages in France, is only a short drive away and, further afield, the historic gems of Avignon and the arts scene of St Rémy de Provence make a perfect day trip.Murs is a charming village in the Vaucluse region of southeast France, in the northern section of the Luberon Natural Park. With a restored 15th century castle, a fascinating history, supermarket, restaurant and artisan workshops, it is the perfect base for exploring this stunning region.
There are fantastic hiking trails near the village in La Combe de Vaumale and experienced cyclists may relish the challenge of the Col de Murs. Head to exquisite Gordes for a coffee and explore its narrow cobblestone streets before picking up more trails into the hills and forests. Wine lovers, don’t miss the Luberon AOC vineyards and wineries.
More idyllic villages to visit nearby are Roussillon, Bonnieux, Lacoste and pretty L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, the place for canals, markets and antique shops.
