Binibeca Bay Spain

Luxury Villas
| 4 Bedrooms|

Rental Description

Part of the Binibeca Bay collection, just a few steps from the Balearic Sea, this villa is perfect for those who love beach holidays. Decorated in a calming yet sophisticated style, with carved wooden furniture, this villa has bedrooms that are all on one level, so it would suit those with children or additional mobility requirements. The structure of the villa is made up of interesting glass walls with black frames, ensuring the space is soaked in natural light. For privacy, there are white curtains that flutter in the breeze.

This villa boasts a huge amount of lawn space, perfect for games and relaxing together with a picnic. There is a turquoise private pool, designed in a plunge style, perfect for splashing around and enjoying the Menorcan sunshine. By the pool, there are lots of sun loungers for guest use and an outdoor lounge with plush sofas on the porch. However, one of the most exciting features of this villa is the jacuzzi on the rooftop sundeck – a blissful spot to enjoy the forest views during a therapeutic soak.

Inside, the living room is well-kitted out with comfortable sofas, as well as two zigzag-patterned green armchairs and cylindrical stools. The views of the garden from this area are beautiful, thanks to the glass walls. There’s plenty of space to relax and curl up with a good book or watch a movie on the flat-screen television. In this open-plan area, there is a wooden dining table with frame-like chairs and a statement wooden lampshade. Alternatively, there is a dining area on the terrace outside.

A peacock blue kitchen is a well-equipped kitchen perfect for rustling up a feast for the whole family. The bright kitchen stands out from the other, more muted tones used around the villa. There are an oven and plenty of cupboard space.

The four bedrooms are decorated in a contemporary style with pops of sage green and floral headboards. The cosy beds are dressed in 300-thread count Egyptian linen, with green valances. Several rooms have purple or green armchairs, and framed art hangs on the walls. Guests can also admire the views from the large windows. The bathrooms are decorated in cream marble – some have a bathtub and a choice of two showers.

This villa is tucked away in the Binibeca Bay development, close to the sparkling sea and in a prime spot to go on day trips around Menorca. The complex is within Binibeca Vell, modelled on an old fishing village and peppered with heritage-style limestone houses. Full of charming winding streets, the area has long been popular with domestic and international tourists. Binibeca is backed by imposing sand dunes and forestry. Nearby, there is a tiny uninhabited island called Illa de l’Aire, with its striking 19th-century lighthouse.

In the village, there are restaurants, bars and a small commercial centre. Menorca itself has a more languid feel than some of the other Balearic islands like Majorca and Ibiza, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed holiday in the sun.
Situated at the southeastern tip of Menorca near Mahon, the island’s capital, Binibeca is just a 20-minute drive from the harbour, Mao. Stroll along the boardwalk, popping into cafes, boutiques and restaurants. Climb down the steps to see the harbour with luxury yachts bobbing to and fro. You can take a boat trip around the island from here, taking in unique views of ancient architecture and islets.

In the restaurants, you can sample some Menorquin delicacies like baked squid and octopus, lobster stew or sobrassada which are paprika-spiced sausages. The island is famous for superb tapas – a great way to try a little of everything. Sample some famous Xoriguer gin at the distillery at the harbour – you can take a tour and test some unique variations.

Binibeca beach is a gorgeous bay with sloping white sand and warm, crystalline water, backed by pine trees and volcanic cliffs. There’s great snorkelling around the rocks nearby, as well as kayaking. Electric fun boats and bicycles can be rented in this area. Ice creams and snacks are sold behind the beach.

In the same area, there are also four smaller coves – Binisafuller, Biniancolla, Biniparratx and Binidali, which are lovely, peaceful spots to visit. The area also offers great diving, with a well-regarded diving school nearby. Of course, seeing as Menorca is encircled by 216km of white sandy coastline, there are excellent coves all over the island, such as the Calas Coves. Made up of swirling shades of blue water framed by cliffs, the coves have an ethereal quality and are popular with locals and tourists alike.

Jeep Safari Menorca is a thrilling way to experience the island’s wildlife. Local guides take groups of passengers in 4x4s around the backroads and hidden corners to see indigenous flora and fauna. It’s a superb way to learn more about local life and the animals of the island. Menorca was made a Biosphere resort in 1993, which ensures that its natural beauty is protected. Admirably, the locals take exceptional care of their island and its biodiversity.
