Nestled in the hills of central Ibiza and enjoying an extensive plot, Villa Las Hermanas Rubias is an idyllic holiday home that offers the tranquillity of the countryside with sandy beaches not far away.
The interior of the villa is a blend of the palatial and the familiar warmth of home, creating a beautiful look and feel throughout. Furnished to an exceptional standard, the charming features and fittings create a sense of rustic luxury that complements the villa’s picturesque position.
Villa Las Hermanas Rubias has its accommodation set over two floors. On the ground floor is a spacious, open plan room that includes an inviting living space with a range of comfortable sofas and chairs, attractive fireplace and television with DVD player. Sharing this area is a dining space with a large table and chairs and direct access to the fully-equipped kitchen. Here you’ll find everything you need to make your stay comfortable and convenient. Facilities include a double refrigerator, washing machine, two dishwashers and a tumble dryer. There’s also access to the terrace and garden. The large bedroom suite on this floor has a bathroom that features both a bath and shower. Air conditioning and a television make this a lovely space to retreat to after a long day.
To the first floor are three beautifully decorated bedrooms. Each has a double bed, an ensuite bathroom with shower, air conditioning and a television. On the garden level are a further two double bedrooms that also each feature an ensuite bathroom with shower, air conditioning and a television. Both these bedrooms have a luxurious queen size bed for total relaxation and a perfect night’s sleep.
Within the large outside space is a private swimming pool bordered by a terrace with a selection of sun loungers on one side and a grassed area to the other. There are also additional sitting and dining options by the pool, and the covered outdoor living/dining room is a sumptuous space for enjoying al fresco meals as you watch the sun set over the garden. Facilities include a barbecue, electric hob, double refrigerator and a dishwasher. Another partially-covered terrace offers further dining and seating areas and access into the mature gardens.The villa is just 3 km from the pretty village of San Rafael and all its amenities and attractions. Like many of Ibiza’s small villages, it has a laidback, peaceful atmosphere that allows you to get a feel for the local culture. The most iconic sight is the 18th century whitewashed church which is the best place to get clear views of Ibiza Town and to the sea beyond.
Also of interest are the traditional pottery shops, with San Rafael being Ibiza’s only official artisan zone. You can pick up some beautiful local ceramics that make for original and unique souvenirs or gifts. One workshop sells pottery items that have been made using techniques and styles that have barely changed for thousands of years. For a small village, there are a surprising number of restaurants. European-Asian fusion, vegan and Italian are just some of the cuisines on offer for evening meals out.
Las Salinas beach is approximately a 15-minute drive from the villa and is a quieter alternative to nearby Ibiza Town and Playa d’en Bossa. With sandy stretches, clear waters and backed by landscapes of pine forests, this is a lovely place to relax and explore hidden coves. Take to the sea and have a go at kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding or sailing. There are also nature trails to explore throughout the wooded areas. Enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner at either a high-end beach front restaurant or a more rustic eatery, depending on your tastes.
