In the heart of Cala Sant Vicenc on Mallorca’s north-east coast, Orell Planas has all the attractions of this small resort close by. This contemporary 3-bedroom villa is stylish inside and out and features a secluded garden with dining terrace and plunge pool.
This air-conditioned property is just a short walk from the beaches, bars and restaurants which make Cala Sant Vicenc so popular with visitors. Everything is so convenient; you won’t need to drive everywhere – in fact, one of the most pleasurable things to do in the area is walking or cycling in the mountains and discovering the stunning natural beauty of the local landscape.
Orell Planas is perfectly sized for a smaller group, accommodating up to six guests. From the terrace, double doors lead into the living area with plenty of comfortable seating, satellite TV, music system and free Wi-Fi. A well-equipped kitchen has an electric oven, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher and much more besides, and is complemented by an open-plan dining area leading you back out to the pool and gardens.
Three air-conditioned twin bedrooms all have built-in wardrobes and the use of two elegant shower rooms. Two of the bedrooms have direct access to a shaded terrace. Outside, you have a gas barbecue, and a lawn with space for children to play.
A few kilometres from Pollença, Cala Sant Vicenc, has both sandy and pebble beaches to explore. Many of its bars and restaurants enjoy a waterside location, serving up a tasty selection of local dishes including fresh seafood and in-season meat and vegetables.
If you would like to experience the bustle of the local markets, head to Pollença or Puerto de Pollença, which both host one weekly. Slightly further down the coast, Alcúdia has more of historical interest to explore in its well-preserved old town.Once a fishing village, Cala Sant Vicenc is one of Mallorca’s smaller resorts, and is home to three beaches: Cala Molins, Cala Barques and Cala Clara. The landscape is dramatic and hilly, with rugged cliffs and rocks, and its popularity with visitors has seen it develop some excellent restaurants, tapas bars and useful amenities.Cala Sant Vicenc is just north of Pollença, where the pretty old town and laidback atmosphere is well worth discovering. Its neighbouring port, Puerto de Pollença offers water-sports, a water park for children and more attractive beaches, and a golf course can also be found just outside the town.
