Occupying an idyllic spot surrounded by tree-covered mountains, Villa Carmelle is a stylish home holiday that’s located within the lush countryside between the towns of Pollensa and Sa Pobla.
The décor of Villa Carmelle has an air of relaxed sophistication throughout. Contemporary furnishings complement fresh white walls with their sleek, crisp lines and subtle pops of neutral colour for a relaxing feel. There are also plenty of convenient features and facilities on offer, making this an ideal villa for a family holiday.
On the ground floor is a bright and open living room. Both the sofas in this space are incredibly comfortable and are positioned to take in the views over the outside area through large windows. There’s also a television for watching films in the evenings.
Doors lead you out onto a covered terrace with outdoor furniture for dining. There’s also another seating area that’s the perfect place to enjoy a pre-dinner drink. The fully-fitted and modern kitchen has everything you could need, including a large American-style fridge freezer, oven, microwave and coffee maker. Here also is where you’ll find the dining table, which is of stylish design and seats up to eight people.
Doors open onto the terrace, allowing you to extend your dining options with the outdoor table and chairs. There are two bedrooms on this floor, with both having twin beds and use of a lovely bathroom with shower and bathtub.
To the first floor are a further two bedrooms with both featuring a double bed and ensuite facilities. They also have their private terrace each, offering the chance to enjoy a drink and watch as the sun sets over the stunning surrounding landscapes.
The villa is set within an attractive plot and features a large decked terrace with a private swimming pool, a selection of sun loungers and casual outdoor seating. There’s also a hot tub for the ultimate in luxurious relaxation. On the lawned area is a barbecue for cooking delicious al fresco dinners from fresh, local produce. There’s even a plumbed-in sink to easily and quickly wash the dishes afterwards!Villa Carmelle has a fabulous setting in the heart of the northern Mallorcan countryside. You can be exploring the beauty of the area in mere moments, with many beautiful walks on offer. There’s even the chance to follow mountain paths and spot many local birds and other wildlife.
The villa is ideally situated between the towns of Pollensa and Sa Pobla, making stocking up on groceries and other essentials a quick and easy task. Both cities are less than a 10- minute drive away but offer plenty of attractions that make you want to stay that little bit longer.
Sa Pablo has both modern and historic places of interest to visit, including the 17th-century Sant Antoni Abat church and the former Can Planes mansion that’s home to both a toy museum the Museum of Contemporary Art. The children will be especially fascinated by the toy museum that showcases more than 4,000 items, including dolls houses, bicycles and toy trains.
The historic town of Pollensa was founded during the 13th century and has an old town area dating back to the 18th. Follow the Roman bridge to find yourself in an atmospheric sprawl of narrow, winding streets and old buildings.
One must-see is Puig de Pollenca, a medieval church and watchtower that sits uphill of the old town. It’s quite an active walk, so make sure you’re wearing sturdy footwear! The views once you get to the top of the hill are more than worth the effort, however.
Alcudia Beach is the closest sandy stretch to the villa and is around a 15-minute drive away. Make a picnic and enjoy a family day out at the seaside, relaxing on the white sands and swimming in the calm, clear waters.
There’s a play area for the children and the chance to get involved with a range of water sports.
