Villa Cristos is a single story farmhouse conversion, surrounded by orange and lemon groves; perfect for a family trying to escape the hustle-and-bustle of life. Its simple light and airy design is complimented by the use of neutral colours for the décor, which is then accentuated with bursts of bright colours to add a sense of quirkiness and fun. 
Upon entering the villa, you are welcomed into the open plan living-dining room, with comforts befitting any modern family.  There is direct access through to the covered terrace, and the private swimming-pool, which is set amongst the well maintained garden, offering both privacy and seclusion.  The fully functional kitchen has been fully equipped for your convenience, but it is far easier to live the ‘alfresco’ life, by fully utilizing the purpose-built BBQ, whilst enjoying a glass of Sangria. 
The bedrooms offer home-from-home comfort, but it is the little Snug-Room that is the hidden gem of this house, for sneaking off with a good book and for enjoying some ‘Me-time’.
No visit would be complete without exploring the many quaint hillside villages, the sandy beaches of Puerto Pollensa and Cala Sant Vincenc, or the old Roman town of Pollensa, which are all within a short drive.At the eastern end of the Serra de Tramuntana mountain and tucked between two hills, is the beautiful Roman town of Pollenca.  Imagine, winding lanes leading to the main squares lined with tapas bars and restaurants, galleries and cafes. It is large enough to offer the amenities of a respectable town, yet small enough to wander around in a day.  
Foreigners have long been attracted to this place.  During the 15th and 16th centuries Pollensa attracted the attentions of smugglers and pirates, from North Africa, who attacked and pillaged this part of the northern coast of Mallorca on a regular basis.  But by the beginning of the 19th century it was a different kind of visitor that started to arrive.  The contrasting landscape of steep mountains (“Serra de Tramuntana”), deep valleys of green pine trees that gently weaved its way down to the beautiful bays of the sparkling blue Mediterranean Sea, meant that it was of no surprise that it became the preferred destination for painters, artists and musicians.  Its cultural and artistic essence is evident all around, with art galleries and beautiful handicraft shops, a-plenty.
The weekly market in Pollensa is a delight for the senses and takes place every Sunday morning in the town’s main square. On offer are an abundance of regional goods and produce, from fresh fruit and vegetables to antiques and handicrafts. The market also provides a great reason to sit in one of the many bars or cafes around the square, and enjoy some tasty tapas and thirst-quenching refreshments, whilst watching the hustle-and-bustle of traders touting for business.At Excellence Luxury Villas we pride ourselves on going that little bit further for our guests.
