Situated above the famously beautiful Fornalutx village, this stunning property offers guests a spectacular home-away-from-home in a serene and tranquil location, with unrivalled views and fantastic facilities. Sleeping up to ten guests, this luxurious five-bedroom villa has been decorated with an expert eye and provides an idyllic holiday home for families, groups of friends or multiple couples to spend some quality time together. With spacious interiors, a private infinity pool and an excellent location, guests will want for nothing at Casa Rossina.
The stone house has retained a traditional Spanish feel, whilst enjoying a chic and stylish finish both inside and outside. Guests are greeted with a large, open-plan kitchen/living/dining area, with the beautiful dark grey staircase forming the central focal point, and adding a unique feature. The modern kitchen features sleek dark grey units, with an island, plenty of prep space and state-of-the-art appliances.
Sliding glass doors allow easy access from the kitchen to one of the many outdoor areas. The stylish dining area features a large round wooden dining table, as well as a separate sofa area for after-dinner drinks in front of the double-sided fireplace. Guests can also access the outdoor area from the dining space.
The kitchen and dining spaces flow seamlessly into the main lounge area, with high ceilings, plenty of comfortable seating and a large coffee table, this provides the perfect setting for guests to come together and enjoy some quality time together. An abundance of windows allows for guests to view the spectacular mountain views, and give the property a light and airy feel.
Up to the beautiful staircase, guests will find another seating area on the landing, with an L-shaped sofa and bean bags. Guests will also find three opulent and luxurious bedrooms upstairs, each with their own private bathrooms. The bedrooms feature high ceilings and crisp, white furnishings that add to the chic and tranquil vibe.
The master suite includes a queen-size bed, ensuite bathroom with stand-alone shower and bathtub, dual vanity, desk and a private terrace looking out onto the incredible mountain views.. The second and third bedrooms include a double bed with a shared balcony, as well as private bathrooms and mountain views.
The fourth and fifth bedrooms are located on the main level; one has a double bed, and the other has twin beds (convertible to one king-size bed). Both bedrooms have their own private bathrooms, as well as access to the outdoor areas. All of the bedrooms provide a private haven for guests to relax, and the bathrooms are all modern and extremely well-equipped.
Outside, Casa Rossina only gets more breathtaking. A large dining table that seats ten offers the perfect setting for alfresco meals overlooking the stunning mountains surrounding the villa. There are several sun loungers and day beds, as well as a separate, more relaxed seating area with a coffee table, where guests can get together after a delicious meal.
There is also a second alfresco dining area, accessed directly from the kitchen at the side of the villa; this shaded dining space includes a barbecue and seats eight, perfect for a late breakfast or relaxed lunch during those hot, lazy days in the sun. A few steps down from the villa, the spectacular infinity pool sits centre stage, overlooking the magnificent views all around.
The pool is fenced around the edge, ensuring guests’ safety. Guests can relax and soak up the sun on one of the many sun loungers around the beautiful pool. This modern masterpiece is shrouded by a calmness, only broken by natural sounds; with incredible surroundings and exquisite features, Casa Rossina is truly an idyllic getaway.Casa Rossina is situated high up the Tramuntana mountain range overlooking the Sóller valley,  just a few minutes from Fornalutx, a ten-minute drive from the Port de Soller beach and the old town of Soller, while the beautiful village of Deia can be reached in under thirty minutes by car. Fornalutx is a forty-minute drive from Palma de Mallorca’s Sant Joan airport. It’s a little bit isolated from the rest of the island but has been made easier to access thanks to the Soller tunnel built-in 1997.
The charming little village of Fornalutx has a magical quality to it. So much so that, in 1983, it was awarded by the Promotion of Tourism of Mallorca with the Silver Plate for the defence and maintenance of the town. Not only does Fornalutx claim a superlative mountain backdrop but the number of sought-after walking trails and cycle routes on its doorstep makes the village a top destination for hikers and bikers to base themselves. For a more laid-back experience, its cafes offer terraces with views of olive and orange groves scaling right up to the pine-clad foothills of Puig Major (Mallorca’s highest mountain).
The village itself is undoubtedly the main attraction. The chance to walk around the narrow streets admiring the architecture and traditional beauty attracts thousands of visitors every year. The building that stands out is the current town hall, which includes a 17th-century defence tower. The church is another must-see attraction, with the mixture of its original gothic features and baroque renovations creating a unique blend.
The main square is Plaça d’España, which is surrounded by cafés and is home to the general store. Just off the main square, you will find Panaderia de Fornalutx (local bakery) offering several wonderful freshly baked items. For a tablecloth dining experience, head to Café Med, which can be found just off the main square.
Although it’s somewhat pricier than some of the other restaurants in the village, it serves up the best seafood dishes. Es Turo is a casual family-friendly joint serving typical Mallorcan cuisine, from tapas and tortillas to fish and meat dishes. Ca N’Antuna is another one serving up local cuisine in a traditional local setting, while Calzone is the local Italian and can be easily found on the main street in the village.
The nearest beach to Fornalutx is 7km away. However, there is a tram linking the nearer town of Sóller to Port de Sóller.
