Deluxe Veri Spain

Luxury Villas
| 6 Bedrooms|

Rental Description

Set in the peaceful and secluded hills of olive groves and almond trees, this superb nineteenth-century manor house is only five minutes’ drive to the picturesque and historical town of Valldemossa. With six luxurious bedrooms, its own private infinity pool and vast gardens, Deluxe Veri would make an ideal holiday home for a large family or group of friends wanting to discover the stunningly beautiful north-west corner of Mallorca.
The location is on a large estate accessed via a remote, private road from the nearby town of Valldemossa. Once you arrive, you will marvel at the vast gardens of ancient olive groves, swaying palm trees and lemon orchards.
Around the grounds, you will find delightful spots to read a book, lounge in the sun or relax with a glass of good Spanish wine, alternatively dip into the inviting, spacious pool with amazing views out towards the bay of Palma. Recent renovations mean that the villa now has a new outdoor lounge and al-fresco dining area as well as a well-equipped outdoor kitchen and BBQ – this really is outdoor living at its very best.
The manor house, rectangular in shape and built around a romantic courtyard, retains so much of its original character. The traditional living room with white stoned walls and flooring and high wood-beamed ceilings have its own olive press, a tafona, and an open fireplace for cooler evenings. It has been furnished in the very highest standards with great taste and contemporary comfort in mind. The pretty kitchen-diner, which opens on to the gardens, has original Mallorquin tiles contrasted with the conveniences of a modern kitchen and a table fit for fine dining at home.
The six bedrooms are dotted around the house, each of them beautifully furnished with luxurious fabrics and tasteful décor combined with a modern bath or shower rooms that also retain characterful décor. The overall restoration of this villa has successfully respected the original features combining them with contemporary touches luxury.
The beautiful town of Valldemossa is located in the north-west of Mallorca in the stunning Sierra de Tramuntana mountain range, and it is a UNESCO World Heritage Centre. 420m above sea-level, it is especially picturesque with narrow cobbled lanes lined with Mediterranean plants and flowers. Like many places in this corner of Mallorca, the town has inspired writers, artists and musicians over the years, including Frederic Chopin who lived here for a short time.
One of the nearest beaches is Cala Deia, a small pebbled cove steep below the beautiful village of Deia or head further north to the delightful coastal town of Port de Soller. This corner of the island is also ideal for both nature and sports enthusiasts. There are many local sign-posted hikes in the area surrounding Valldemossa and beyond, plus horse-riding, rock climbing and golf nearby. The beautiful town of Valldemossa, approximately five to ten minutes’ drive from the villa, is located in the north-west of Mallorca in the stunning Sierra de Tramuntana mountain range and it is a UNESCO World Heritage Centre. 420m above sea-level, the town is surrounded by the typical Mallorcan countryside of olive, almond, carob and fruit trees.
It is an especially picturesque town with narrow streets lined with Mediterranean plants and colourful flowers, cobbled stone lanes, pretty cafes, galleries and restaurants plus traditional local bakeries serving ‘coca de patata’, a sweet potato cake eaten with thick hot chocolate. Like many places in this corner of Mallorca, the town has inspired writers, artists and musicians over the years, including Frederic Chopin who lived here for a short time.
In summer months the town can get very busy with day-trippers who come to wander the streets and visit the famous thirteenth-century monastery ‘Real Cartuja de Valldemossa’. The higher up the village you walk, the quieter it tends to get – the oldest part near the monastery is where mostof the locals live. Late afternoon or early evening is the perfect time to stroll around as most of the coach loads leave by then.
One of the nearest beaches is Cala Deia, a small pebbled cove steep below the beautiful village of Deia, and here you will find one of the best places to eat fish at lunchtime. A little further north is the beaches and delightful coastal town of Port de Soller, or you may prefer to head across to the coastline surrounding Palma, a stunning city which is worth a visit in itself.
