Villa Murada, located just outside of the town of Manacor, Mallorca, is ideal for those wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoy quality time with their family or friends in this charming, quiet holiday retreat. This rustic property set in private grounds still has its traditional charm, with exposed brick in the entrance hall, terracotta floor tiling throughout, and exposed timber in the outdoor terrace. The warm and welcoming interiors are perfectly complemented with comfortable furnishings and modern amenities, including complimentary air conditioning and WiFi. Villa Murada really does feel like a home away from home.
The living and dining room is fitted with two sofas, a flat-screen TV, and music system – the ideal setting for an evening of chilled entertainment. Behind the sofa is a large dining table, making this a perfect space for socialising as a group.  The modest kitchen retains much of its charm whilst also benefitting from a fully equipped kitchen, with all of the amenities required to cater for a group.
Villa Murada boasts four cosy bedrooms and three bath/shower rooms. On the ground floor, the twin bedroom has an adjacent shower room and doors directly through to the garden, allowing guests the luxury of watching the sun rise from the comfort of their beds in the morning. Upstairs, off the galleried landing, are three simply furnished double bedrooms, the whitewashed walls adding to the authenticity of the property. The master bedroom benefits from a private sun terrace, with far reaching views of the beautiful garden and beyond.
Outside is a sanctuary of beautiful private gardens, perfect for exploring or seeking tranquillity in shaded areas within the stonewalled grounds. The large swimming pool is set amidst the gardens and is accompanied by sun loungers, parasols and beach towels – everything you need for a relaxing afternoon dipping in and out of the water. The two covered terraces, dining space, and stone BBQ make this outside area a blissful setting for enjoying evenings filled with good food, refreshing drink, and excellent company.  Located just a 5 minute walk from the famous Rafael Nadal Tennis Academy, Villa Murada is the perfect match for tennis enthusiasts! For a fun day of light-hearted competition and inspiration, look no further than the Rafael Nadal Museum Xperience. Admire trophies in the exhibition room, put your skills to the test in the experiential room, or compete with friends in next-generation virtual stimulators, there is something for everyone – even if you’re more novice than Nadal!
Villa Murada is situated just off a country lane, with the bustling town of Manacor just a 5 minute drive away. The second largest town of Mallorca, there is plenty to experience and explore! Historically known as the home of industry, Manacor has a very distinctive feel. One of the most popular attractions is Nostra Senyora dels Dolors, a striking Gothic-style church in the centre of town dating back to the 19th century. The narrow streets behind the church make for a pleasant place to stroll, take in the sights and soak up the atmosphere.
For a truly authentic experience, visit Manacor’s weekly market held every Monday. As one of the busiest markets on the island, it’s perfect for getting stuck into the hustle and bustle, visiting traditional stalls and picking up olive wood products that Manacor has become well known for. Being one of the largest areas in Mallorca, there are plenty of shops and dining options to choose from. Ranging from traditional tapas, to Italian cuisine, patisseries through to Indian restaurants, there really is something to suit all tastes!
There are a number of beautiful, sandy beaches and coves just a 15 minute drive from Villa Murada. Cala Romantica, Cala Mendia and Cala Anguila are small, picturesque resorts, with soft white sand and beautiful, turquoise seas. The beaches are relatively secluded, but do have a small selection of restaurants and local shops nearby for basic snacks and refreshments. With sunbeds and parasols available for hire, these beaches are perfect for getting stuck into a good book and cooling down in the calm waters. Just down the road is pretty fishing village Porto Cristo, visited by many to try out some of the local restaurants on the port, perfectly positioned to enjoy the afternoon sun.
