Taulat Blau is a wonderful fully air-conditioned three bedroomed detached holiday house sleeping up to 6 guests in the fabulous city of Barcelona, Spain’s most popular city. Cute and quirky this whitewashed modern vibe house maximises the use of the space with style and flair.
Located on the outskirts of the city in the district of el Poblenou, you can enjoy a calmer ambience than the city centre. With its own ‘Rambla’, two top-notch shopping centres and the beautiful Bogatell Beach near to hand you are in a great district. There is a bus stop and train station just a short stroll away, and a tip for public transport travel is to purchase a T10 pack of tickets which, at 10 euros, are half the price of individual tickets.
This cute little whitewashed house is set on a sleepy, quiet street; inside, you are greeted by white open beam ceilings, blonde wood floors, sliding stable doors and wonderful little lounging nooks loaded with quirky cushions giving the place an Ibiza feel!
The layout of the house accommodates the features of the historical building, so the ground floor is home to the bedroom and bathroom areas. There are 3 compacts, simple yet stylish, bedrooms each with two flexible single beds and two modern chic bathrooms with showers. The white wooden open staircase brings you up to a vaulted ceiling open plan kitchen, living and dining space with glass sliding doors leading to a gorgeous terrace.
This bright, airy space has a wonderful relaxing casual feel and is the hub of the house; the well-equipped modern kitchen offers a hob, oven, microwave and fridge-freezer and is perfect for rustling up tasty delights to enjoy at the large communal table, the seating area combines a comfy sofa with a squashy lounging snug where you can literally lay back and watch the TV.
Your outside terrace, with white cushioned seating space and original style loungers, has the unexpected pleasure of a Jacuzzi-style plunge pool and an outdoor shower! – this is the perfect space to fire up the barbecue, have some chill background tunes and sit back and relax with a cool long drink in your own mini paradise!
For your convenience, the property has air conditioning and Wi-Fi along with a washing machine, dryer, iron and hairdryer. Should you be using a car, there is parking on the street.

Taulat Blau enjoys a great position for you to really get a feel of Barcelona. Poblenou is one of the emerging neighbourhoods of Barcelona and is full of surprises. Strolling through its streets, you will see striking industrial architecture now housing art facilities, innovation centres, museums and design studios and The Rambla, which is comparable with the best of Barcelona’s boulevards, is lined with elegant buildings and pavement cafes, a great place to people watch. You are only 20 minutes stroll to beautiful Bogatell Beach, which is known for its relaxed atmosphere, family-friendly amenities and beachside bars and restaurants. This beach is much calmer than the city centre and popular with the locals.
You are very well connected to the historic centre of Barcelona, (the nearest metro takes 8 minutes to the centre) and there is so much to see and do.
Cuitat Vella is Barcelona’s ‘Old Town’ here you can find the main boulevard ‘La Rambla’ probably the liveliest street in Barcelona, 1200 metres long, with street performers, music and impressive human statues, this people magnet is also home to the colourful Boquera Market with a great selection of local produce, La Rambla is a fabulous place to try tapas or simply grab a long cool drink at one of the many terraces and people watch.
Off La Ramblas, you can find the labyrinth of The Gothic quarter. Narrow streets and alleyways lined with medieval buildings house artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences and open up into wonderful squares like Placa Reial with outdoor cafes and summer concerts. Historical churches and the spectacular Barcelona Cathedral are hidden gems to be discovered whilst exploring these atmospheric and magical streets.
Barcelona has some of the most amazing architecture in the world, the most famous being Antonio Gaudi’s La Sagrada Familia Basilica which is a truly stunning work of art and an absolute must-see; this has been under construction since 1882 and to this day remains a work in progress. If you have the time Park Guell, a magical park is worth visiting to see some more wonderful examples of his work.
The influence of great painters and artists is evident throughout the city, and Barcelona is an art lover’s delight. The Picasso Museum (Museu Picasso) is the most visited art gallery in Barcelona. The Gallery is home to one of the world’s largest collections of Picasso’s artwork and costs Euro 12 for the main exhibition area. Other noteworthy museums are The Fundacio Joan Miro, The Museum of Modern Art (MNAC) and Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art (MACBA), but there are plenty more to choose from.
