Tastefully and elegantly appointed throughout, the villa boasts several floors of accommodation in addition to attractive, leafy outside space. With a total of six en-suite bedrooms, it’s an obvious choice for larger groups. And especially ideal for families with younger children, as the bright attic floor features a bedroom with both a queen-size bed and double bed. There’s also a small covered terrace for viewing the lake in peace and privacy.
The villa is characterised by fresh, white walls complemented by hardwood floors and an array of antique pieces. Spaces such as the fully-equipped kitchen and TV room come with modern features and everything needed for a comfortable stay. Sure to be the hub of the villa is the conservatory with a plush seating area and large dining table. The abundance of glass means unspoilt views over the water, with doors allowing evenings to continue outside with al fresco meals and drinks.

And there are so many other popular Lake Como towns and villages within easy reach. One of the best for fun family days out is Menaggio, with its lido and sandy beach. It’s also where you can catch a ferry to the lakeside gem of Bellagio and visit its elegant and historic villas. Famous Villa Carlotta in Tremezzo with its botanical gardens is just a short drive away.

Villa Michela’s lakeside setting could hardly be more scenic or peaceful, with the lake just a few moments’ walk away. Also on the doorstep is a public beach and a lakeside promenade with restaurants, bars and cafes. The village is a typical Lake Como spot, with boat trips and watersports such as kitesurfing, sailing and swimming popular ways to enjoy the water.
Once just a humble fishing village, the town of Santa Maria Rezzonico (3km) is just a five-minute drive away. Here you’ll find a lovely beach with tucked-away coves and panoramic views. In the town itself, narrow lanes feature historic buildings and hidden stairways, as well as cafes and restaurants. A castle overlooks the town, with a tower that offers wonderful views over the sea. The 14th century church of Santa Maria Assunta boasts an ornate exterior and a wealth of beautiful paintings inside.
Menaggio (10km) is a must-visit town, especially as it only takes 10 minutes to drive there. You could also take the ferry for a memorable trip. The lido is sure to be popular with children as it has a sandy beach, swimming pools and many other fun activities. History buffs will enjoy a visit to the ruined medieval castle. You can also catch a ferry over to Bellagio, which is home to the impressive Villa Serbelloni and Villa Melzi, in around 15 minutes.
