Sitting peacefully within a small seaside resort at the mouth of the Loire, Maison Maritime enjoys a privileged position close to the sea and a sandy beach. Clear views of the coastline can be enjoyed from the charming outside space that backs directly onto estate land. The idyllic area is ideal for activities such as cycling, hiking, swimming, sand yachting and kitesurfing.
Contemporary and sleek in style, this villa sleeps up to six people in three sophisticated bedrooms that open directly into different areas of outside space. One bedroom is beach-facing, so you can start each morning with a deep breath of invigorating sea air.
The main living area is bright and airy by day, with doors opening straight out onto the pool terrace and small garden area. There’s a cosy atmosphere to be enjoyed as night falls and you get comfortable on the sofa, with a fireplace offering even more warmth. The most striking architectural feature of this sociable open-plan space is the beautiful glass divide with sliding doors that lead through into the kitchen.
There’s a choice of outside spaces to relax and unwind at Maison Maritime. Spend quieter times on the central terrace as you sit with a drink and your favourite book. The main area is where you’ll find the pool set within a terrace for dining al fresco and lying back on sun loungers. Wherever you decide to chill out in the main garden, you’ll be treated to calming views of the sea.
Within minutes of stepping outside the villa you can be enjoying both country and coastal walks. Cycling is also a great way to see the naturally beautiful landscapes in the area. The sea offers the chance to swim and try a range of water sports.
Around a 25-minute drive away and situated on the Loire Estuary is the city of Saint-Nazaire. Boat and maritime lovers will enjoy exploring this city, with its submarine base and museum, shipbuilding museum and sea cruises.
The bustling city of Nantes is an hour’s drive from the villa and offers historic sightseeing, galleries, museums, and leafy parks and gardens to stroll around.

As Maison Maritime is part of a small coastal resort, amenities and a range of fun facilities are just a short walk or drive away. The sea and beach are close by, making it easy to head down to the sand to relax and enjoy swimming and other water-based activities.
You’ll find several restaurants, bars and shops within a five-minute drive of the villa, along with a pharmacy and post office. Also nearby is a lovely park for leisurely strolls close to the beach. There are plenty of coast and country walks on the doorstep, with perfect terrain for cycling also.
Just over the Loire Estuary is the city of Saint-Nazaire (15km), with something to suit every member of the family. Maritime fans will enjoy the number of museums and galleries dedicated to naval history, such as the submarine base and shipbuilding museum. The botanical garden is a beautiful place to spend time in the sun, with its stunning floral displays and surprising architectural features. Geckoland children’s centre offers a variety of soft play areas, slides and ball pits, with great food and drink options available.
Drive an hour west to the historic city of Nantes (60km). Its main highlight is the medieval Château des Ducs de Bretagne, which is now a fascinating local history museum. Nantes is also a hub for the arts, with the Musée d’Arts housing works by artists such as Monet, Chagall and Rodin. A stunning sight not to be missed is the collection of mechanical animals called The Machines of the Isle of Nantes by the old shipyards.
There are so many great activities for children in the area close to Maison Maritime. The beach is just a short walk away, as is a scenic park for children to run about and explore in before enjoying a picnic on the sand.
Within a five-minute drive of the villa is a mini golf course (2km), cinema, bowling alley and swimming pool. There’s also the fun soft play centre, Looping Party (2.5km) with its range of climbing equipment, ride-on toys and slides.
Providing hours of fun is Legendia Parc (20km). This entertainment park is themed around legends and fairy tales and puts on exciting live shows. It also features a range of animals, rides and trails through wooded parkland.
