Inside and set entirely across one bountiful floor, the open plan layout lets light flood in from all angles, making it a great space for hosting and entertaining others, with a huge tastefully designed living room area, complete with wood fireplace, plus a gorgeous dining area surrounded by charming, generously sized arched windows that invite the outside Costa Blanca views in while you get stuck in with breakfast.
Elegant with classic decor, Villa Galvao’s kitchen boasts the little luxuries, such as a coffee machine and juicer, plus all the necessities like a dishwasher and microwave, with a separate utility room housing the washing machine. The master bedroom leads into an ensuite bathroom with a walk in shower, while the second bedroom contains two single beds suitable for either adults or children, also with its own ensuite, complete with walk in shower and bidet.
The garden sits by the wonderful kidney shaped pool and jacuzzi, filled with outdoor furniture and sunbeds for days spent lounging in that beautiful Costa Blanca sun, along with an amazing outdoor kitchen and barbecue area for that wow factor when it comes to hosting large groups outside. This villa boasts five terraces, with one of which is covered for those who’d rather spend their time in the shade. You can expect WiFi, fresh, crisp bed linen and soft towels on arrival and throughout your stay, plus space for parking more than one vehicle.The ancient fishing town of Calpe is a short 3km away from this intimate villa, just off the N332 that runs from Valencia to Alicante, and A7 motorway, home to an eclectic mix of authentic Valencian culture and modern amenities, with mesmerising Iberian remains to be found all over the area.
The Rock of Ifach is Calpe’s landmark attraction, standing a colossal 332m tall with the tip being reachable after a difficult but worthwhile trek to the top via a footpath and tunnel which reveals jaw dropping views of the surrounding, sprawling landscape with views as far as the island of Ibiza on a clear day. This one is a must for sporty types who love a challenge, the panorama experienced at the top will be worth the leg pain.
Exploring the Moorish quarter and the ancient town centre will give you an authentic taste of old school Calpe, with the striking Iglesia Vieja church being the last standing example of Valencian Mudejar-Gothic architecture. From here you can venture towards the Castle of Calpe’s old Moorish ruins that overlook the Mascarat Ravine, or the Fiestas Museum.
Immerse yourself in coastal Valencia bliss by Calpe’s marina located by the old fishing port and hop on a boat that circles around The Rock of Ifach or jump on a train and head towards Alicante or Denia to explore the local coastline in full.
Famous for its plentiful, luscious almonds, nougat dessert is a delicacy in Calpe, while its local wines have achieved crowd favourite status among locals and holiday makers alike.
