Villa Marciana is a warm and family-friendly holiday home situated within a quiet neighbourhood that’s close to the town of Calpe on the Costa Blanca.
Full of the classic charm of a traditional Spanish home, Villa Marciana offers a relaxing base for your holiday. Rooms are tastefully decorated and furnished throughout, with plenty of modern facilities for convenience. External stairs take you up to a balcony from where you can enjoy unobstructed sea views.
The living room is bright and spacious and offers enough comfortable seating for all the family to get together. There are a television and DVD player for enjoying movie nights, with a wood fire creating even more of a cosy feel on chilly nights.
The dining area has a table that seats up to six people and is ideally positioned in front of several windows for stunning views as you eat. A fully-fitted kitchen is equipped with everything you need for your stay, including an electric oven, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and coffee machine. There’s also a utility room with a washing machine as a convenient extra.
There are three bedrooms in total at Villa Marciana. All of them have a double bed, with two also featuring a lovely ensuite bathroom. There’s also the main family bathroom with a shower.
To the exterior of the villa is a partially-covered terrace with outdoor furniture. There’s a comfortable sofa for sitting with a drink and taking in the views and a dining table that seats six. You also have a barbecue at your disposal, giving you the chance to make delicious meals with some local fish and seafood.
Take a dip in the private swimming pool or relax on a sun lounger to soak up the atmosphere of your picturesque surroundings. The lawned area is well-screened by plants and trees that help give you a little taste of the Costa Blanca countryside.Villa Marciana is approximately 3 km away from the centre of Calpe, so you can jump in the car and be in town stocking up on groceries in less than 10 minutes. There’s a great choice of shops and supermarkets in Calpe, as well as plenty of restaurants for evening meals out.
Being a seaside resort, Calpe has its share of sandy stretches. The most popular beach is probably Playa de la Fossa. It boasts fine, golden sand and calm waters that are perfect for swimming or snorkelling.
We all know relaxing is hard work, so when you decide to stop to lunch, you’ll find a long promenade that’s full of places to grab something to eat. There are also some shops for picking up souvenirs.
Be sure to visit the majestic Penyal d’Ifac, limestone rock and protected park that rises out of the sea at one end of the beach. It’s home to hundreds of different species, including a variety of birds and seabirds, as well as many rare plants. Climb right to the top if you’re feeling energetic and be rewarded by stunning views over the sea and town.
The town of Calpe itself is full of history and has an old centre packed with Roman ruins and Gothic churches to visit. Outside of the old town area, there are also several fascinating museums to stroll around, including the Museum of Archaeology.
Benidorm is only a 30-minute drive from the villa, and you might be surprised at what it has to offer families with children. Far from being just a party town, it has a historical centre with plenty of culture and charm, with numerous theme parks and zoos in the area too.
