It is apparent from the outset that the entire villa features a modern design, with simple, tasteful furniture in each room throughout the property. White walls and bright window openings flood the living spaces with light, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere that encourages you to completely relax, focusing your time on spending quality time with your loved ones. Villa Grifo is best suited to families, with games, toys and play areas all set up to entertain younger guests, so parents can enjoy the peace and quiet of Lanzarote!
On the ground floor, there is a fabulous living, and dining room, particularly popular with kids, the room includes a music system, pool and air hockey table, so the championships can begin as soon as you arrive! With comfy sofas arranged around the television, the room is perfect for quiet evenings in or taking a break from the hot afternoon sun.
From here there are elegant doors leading out to the outdoor dining area and fabulous terrace, so even if some guests are inside and some out, everyone remains nearby! The kitchen is on the next floor up, fully-equipped and perfect for preparing delicious picnics, dinner feasts and your favourite summer barbecue recipes!
Throughout the villa, there are five cosy bedrooms, including three double rooms on the lower floor and two en-suite double rooms on the ground floor. Each bedroom is spacious, light and airy with vast windows or patio doors leading to the wonderful terrace.
Outdoors, the magic of Villa Grifo comes to life, with sun loungers for you to really relax and soak up the sunshine. The private swimming pool allows you to cool off and encourages kids to play and splash about, which alongside the outdoor play area means endless entertainment is ready and waiting for any younger members of the group!
There is plenty of room for everyone to dine al-fresco long into the evening, sharing a bottle or two of local wine and with a barbecue why not get the whole family involved in the cooking! Lanzarote is a beautiful island situated at the far right of the Canarian archipelago, the closest island to the African continent at the same longitude as the southern tip of Morocco. This location means that we enjoy a sunny, temperate climate all year round. Lanzarote has the most consistent climate of all the Canary Islands, with stable temperatures throughout the year, averaging 17ºC (63º F) in January/February and 24º C (75º F) in the summertime.
The whole of the Canary Islands is volcanic, but it is in Lanzarote that the most recent volcanic history is evident and accessible. A visit to Timanfaya National Park located in the south of the island is a must.
Lanzarote is also a unique example of how one single man can have so much influence on its aspect that one can say César Manrique ‘sculpted’ Lanzarote! Lanzarote’s greatest and internationally renowned son left his genius signature everywhere on the island… as sculptor, painter, architect and environmentalist. It is also largely his responsibility that tourism on Lanzarote developed within certain aesthetic guidelines and above all without spoiling the island’s landscape heritage, customs and traditions.
Except for one hotel building in Arrecife, all buildings on the island are low-rise – “not taller than a Canarian palm” – and you won’t find any advertising hoardings at the roadsides! But what you will find at the roadside are fascinating wind mobiles and sculptures and pretty villages in a symphony of white and green!
Playa Blanca is a very popular resort located a short 30-minute drive from Lanzarote airport in the island’s capital, Arrecife. The resort of Playa Blanca boasts many gorgeous sandy beaches, with the beaches of Papagayo being particularly popular due to the fine golden sand.
There are also numerous restaurants, café bars and shops in Playa Blanca, and a wonderful waterfront promenade that stretches for many kilometres, a great place for a gentle stroll or to burn off some calories during a morning jog!
Another highlight of staying in Playa Blanca is that there are regular ferries going over to the neighbouring island of Fuerteventura, a journey that takes less than 45 minutes and offers you the opportunity to visit the harbour town of Corralejo with its very famous sand dunes/desert!At Excellence Luxury Villas we pride ourselves on going that little bit further for our guests.
