Villa Annisa is the definition of understated elegance. The guest lucky enough to stay in the downstairs bedroom on the left will be able to enter the sparkling private pool straight from their bedroom – it couldn’t be closer!
Wrapped around the property, this inviting pool is extremely spacious and ideal for a refreshing dip after a busy day exploring the island. There are four red sunbeds facing the swimming pool for those who wish to sunbathe or relax and some chairs to curl up in with a good book just outside the living room. A backdrop wall of plants provides shade, greenery and privacy.
The airy bedrooms all have comfortable double beds with crisp white sheets and colourful blankets to ensure you get a good night’s sleep. There’s a mixture of wooden and stone flooring throughout the property.
Natural materials are a popular choice in Bali, as traditional Balinese houses seek to harmonise with the environment. Wake up to beautiful views ranging from lush green rice fields to tropical gardens and the pool area. Art is displayed on the walls and fresh flowers are in every room. Each delightful room is equipped with an ensuite bathroom, so there should be no squabbles about space to get ready! Decked out in white with marble details, there’s an oval tub for guests to soak in peace, while the shower area is separated by glass walls for privacy. Plants decorate the bathroom to bring a little of the outdoors in.

Seminyak beach is a gorgeous place to be with an irresistible vibe from dawn til dusk. It’s popular with surfers across Bali, who gather to catch some waves and then go for a smoothie bowl at one of the many idyllic cafes. If you’re feeling swish, you can rent a cabana here and enjoy some of the delicious food on offer. Another popular activity on Seminyak beach is horse riding, where you can take a gentle canter across the sugary soft sands, weaving in and out of the shimmering water.
You’ll find plenty of surf schools where you can get acquainted with the waves and learn from the professionals. Take a stroll across the golden sands all the way to Canggu, stopping at lively cocktail huts along the way. After the sun softens, hang out at one of the many alluring beach clubs for a panoramic sunset view over the Indian ocean.
Anyone interested in art should visit the Nyaman Museum, which is Bali’s iconic contemporary art mecca. You’ll find stunning pieces from local and international artists here and a range of disciplines from sculpture to photography. This spacious gallery invites guests to channel the spirit of Nyaman, which means cosy in Indonesian.
From the villa, you’re just a ten-minute ride from Canggu and Petitenget. Magical Petitenget Beach embodies Balinese spirituality. Here, discover the ancient temple that has twelve shrines and an impressive dragon staircase that leads to an expansive courtyard. Historically, it was called The Magic Box, as a 16th-century priest brought one with him whenever he visited the temple. Every evening, there are temple ceremonies on the beach and traditional dance displays – a truly mesmerising way to experience the rich culture.
You can also take a day trip to Tabanan, which is full of natural wonders, such as the famous Jutilwah rice terraces at the foot of Mount Batakuru. Enjoy the sweeping vistas of lush greenery as you stroll through the fields that were a UNESCO Cultural Heritage Site candidate.
