Villa Pangi Gita Indonesia
Holiday Home Rental Description
Welcome to paradise. Villa Pangi Gita is described as nestled within a garden of Eden in peaceful Pererenan. Take a walk down sloping terraced steps to the river, through acres of lush greenery, around a swirling teardrop-shaped pool and through rows and rows of swaying palm trees.
The design of the villa is quintessentially Balinese, from the vaulted ironwood shingle roof to the traditional individual pavilions. Natural materials feature heavily in keeping with Indonesian heritage. The owner’s Asian antiques and furnishings are artfully scattered through the villa, while bamboo furniture adds a quirky touch. The tables are adorned with fresh flowers – look up in awe at the vaulted ceiling.
Three beautiful bedrooms decorated in white and wooden details have inspiring design details, such as intricately carved panels. Floors of teak and terrazzo brighten the space, while floor to ceiling windows open out on the furnished terrace above the pool. The master bedroom has a king size canopy bed and a generous walk-in wardrobe. A truly stunning cream ensuite bathroom has carved floral details and a striking standalone tub in the centre.
Meanwhile, the two guest bedrooms have queen size beds with carved wooden headboards. In the study, one extra bed can be set up and three extra beds are possible on request.
The free form pool at the river’s edge provides a cooling respite from the tropical heat – as you swim, listen to the calming sounds of the statuesque water feature. Hideaway in the characterful study made entirely of wood to write some postcards or get some life admin done. There’s plenty of space to wander around the villa in the gardens, filled with tropical flowers and plants for a moment of peace and quiet. The garden extends all the way to the rice terraces that stretch across the horizon. The villa is conveniently located within the Pangi Estate, a group of eight villas with their own space. A tranquil haven tucked away in Pererenan on the banks of a ‘singing’ river, the villa is perfectly placed in a special spot for locals. Villa Pangi Gita is close to all of Canggu’s amenities and simultaneously just 20 minutes from the glitzy nightlife and shopping in Seminyak.
Gain an insight into rural Bali in picturesque Pererenan, which as an area has avoided the majority of tourism that Canggu and Seminyak attracts. This means that you’ll stay in an authentic area known as quintessentially Balinese.
Swathes of vast protected green belt land dominate the landscape. Quaint hillsides dotted with ancient temples and quiet beaches play host to organic farmer’s markets. The area is family friendly and popular with locals and expats alike. Pererenan leads the way in sustainability and is considered a pioneering village when it comes to recycling in Bali.
A great street to explore nearby is Jalan Pantai Batubolong, an up and coming enclave of spas and boutiques, cosy cafes and hip bars. Around Canggu, indulge in a soothing, traditional Balinese massage at a fancy spa, and on Sundays, head to La Laguna gypsy market for organic and eco-friendly products and traditional handicrafts, to the soundtrack of live music. A special place to practise yoga nearby is Desa Seni, an eco-friendly resort that celebrates Indonesian culture and art.
Pererenan beach is just 2km away, a quiet beach popular with locals and tourists alike, while Echo Beach is just a five-minute drive from the villa. Learn to surf in three days on a specially designed masterclass – you’ll be ready to hang ten on Bali’s world-class breaks in no time! The pronounced swells on the island’s long beach breaks attract surfers from all around the world and there’s always a fantastic atmosphere. Echo, in particular, is lovely for a sundowner.
Bali is known as the ‘Island of the Gods’ and after visiting some of the mesmerising temples, you’ll find out why. Pura Tanah Lot is just five minutes away – a religious site perched high atop a wave-lashed rock formation. It’s believed that the temple here protects Bali from evil sea spirits. Pura Tanah Lot is also a popular spot for sunset. To truly observe the power of the sea temple, visit early in the morning where you can witness a local offering ceremony.
For an adrenaline rush, go white water rafting on the Ayung river – zoom through the rapids in an inflatable dinghy, discovering hidden waterfalls and lush rice terraces along the way. There are sections suitable for all levels and it’s possible to try rafting all year round.
Bali Horse Adventure is a must for horse lovers, whether you’re a keen rider or want a taster riding lesson. If you’ve ever dreamed of cantering across powdery sand at sunset or visiting local villages fringed with evergreen rice terraces, this world-class centre has got you covered.
