Rosciola Italy
Holiday Home Rental Description
In the rolling hills of Le Marche yet only 10km from Senigallia’s velvet beach, Rosciola is a wonderfully renovated family home which will allow you to experience Italian authenticity in a picture-perfect setting.
The villa dates as far back as the late 18th century and has been in the family for over seventy years. Throughout the generations such care and attention has been paid to the farmhouse’s sensitive restoration and it has become a much-loved family home. Nowadays the owners are delighted to share this countryside gem for up to 22 guests across five gorgeous apartments which are rented together with exclusive use of the swimming pool and glorious gardens.
Inside, traditional features remain such as terracotta tiles, exposed stone walls and original wood beams yet each apartment has superb modern additions including air-conditioning, underfloor heating, satellite TV and more. Each elegant apartment also has its own well-equipped kitchen and living space whilst guests can gather outdoors by the spacious swimming pool and hot tub or by the poolside gazebo, surrounded by some of the many olive trees across the estate.
Wander amongst the fruit trees, pick apricots, pears, peaches and apples in season, picnic on the lovely lawns and play a game of bocce on the professional court. Relax with an aperitivo in the early evening sunshine, perhaps looking out to the glorious summer sunflowers. Enjoy al-fresco dining by the barbecue and wood-fired oven with the distant chirping of crickets as the stars light up the sky.
If the beach beckons then head to the blue-flag beaches of Senigallia, a popular seaside resort on the Adriatic coast with sandy shores, summer lidos, beachside bars and a wonderfully vibrant ambience. Its old town is full of historic gems and is a joy to explore and there are festivities and events across the year.
Closer to home, discover the undulating landscapes of the surrounding countryside by bike or horse-back and visit idyllic villages for mouth-watering cuisine in rustic osterie. Head a little further afield to impressive towns and cities such as Ancona, Macerata and Rimini or explore the incredible scenery of the Monte Conero Regional Park with hard to reach beautiful bays, woodland hikes, horse-riding trails and mesmerising coastal views.
After a day out exploring, return to your holiday abode for relaxing evenings with family and friends. With its character and charm, Rosciola really is the place to experience the warmth and beauty of this magnificent region. Just a 10-minute drive to the sea, Rosciola enjoys an idyllic countryside setting in Le Marche, close to the coastal resort of Senigallia and about 40km north of Ancona.
A local village is just over 1.5km away where you will find a small handful of places to eat and some shops including a grocery store whilst a larger supermarket is a 5-minute drive away.
Senigallia (10km), on Italy’s Adriatic coast, is a fantastic town known for its vast white beach (known as the Velvet beach) and it’s Art Deco pier, Rotonda al Mare. The old part of the town is stunning with many historic buildings and artistic gems. The long blue-flag coastline offers endless lidos, children’s playgrounds, beach volleyball and a promenade which includes a cycling/skating trail. With plenty of festivities, markets and other events throughout the year, there is a vibrant atmosphere in Senigallia and always plenty to do for every age.
Closer to home, the surrounding countryside is of course glorious, best discovered by walking, cycling or horse-riding. There are many wonderful cycling trails, including a path along the River Misa between Senigallia and Pianello which passes close to the villa whilst a local horse-riding school around 5km away offers tours across the countryside and sometimes even the beach.
Le Marche also offers some of Italy’s most enchanting villages including nearby Ostra (9km) and Corinaldo (13km) or head to captivating towns such as Loreto (62km) with its much-visited basilica, and historic Macerata (80km) with other jewels such as Fermo and Ascoli Piceno a little further. Not forgetting the bustling city of Ancona with its attractive harbour, impressive cathedral, museums and city parks.
Keen walkers can soak up the incredible scenery in the Monte Conero Regional Park. This coastal area, less than an hour by car, is also home to idyllic bays (many only accessible by rocky paths or boat), a range of watersports, fascinating woodland, flora and fauna as well as stunning biking and horse-riding trails.
Food-lovers will appreciate the regional cuisine of Le Marche whether it’s the local fish stew served by the coast, Brodetto di Pesce, or truffles, salami and sheep’s cheese from the hills. Accompanied of course by good local wines such as Verdicchio di Matelica and Rosso Conero. At Excellence Luxury Villas we pride ourselves on going that little bit further for our guests.
