Each one has two single mattresses making a huge, comfortable bed. Again the designer lighting is so cool and trendy in the bedrooms. The pristine, ensuite bathrooms are astonishing. The underfloor heating can be used if required. The villa also boasts a fabulous sauna and jacuzzi for your enjoyment. Villa Fara is absolutely fabulous, a perfect, trendy destination for a wonderful, relaxed holiday. The heart shape of the Istrian peninsula says it all. It is gorgeous! The bucolic interior of rolling hills and fertile fields, together with charming hilltop villages and gastronomic feasts attracts visitors wanting a relaxed holiday in a stunning location. The indented coastline is enormously popular with the sun-and-sea set. The peninsula is often divided into two distinct regions, Blue Istria, the dazzling coast and Green Istria, the lush interior. Istria is sometimes compared to Tuscany, being swathed in olive groves and vineyards and speckled with Medieval hilltowns. The cuisine has a distinctly Italian flair too, with much air-cured ham and fresh pasta. Truffles are frequently added and are delicious. Truffles were discovered by accident in Istria by farmers. They were fed to the pigs until Italians turned up wanting to buy them all at rock-bottom prices. Now the black truffles and more precious white truffles are definitely appreciated. You will also find a lot of fish on the menus. The daily catch includes anchovies, sardines, octopus, red and grey mullet, scampi, shrimp, spider crab, squid and sea urchins. Some of the most popular towns to visit on Istria are Umag, Porec, Rovinj and Pula.
Rovinj is a true gem. The Croatian Ministry of Tourism organised a ‘Days of Tourism 2019’ conference where Rovinj won the Best Leisure Destination in Croatia! This alluring, picturesque Istrian fishing harbour town is so charming. The old town is contained within an egg-shaped peninsula, netted with steep, cobbled streets and pretty squares and punctuated by the majestic tall church rising from the highest point. The stunning Pula is situated in the valley of seven hills, with extraordinary Adriatic views. Narrow cobbled streets and magnificent Roman buildings beckon. The spectacular amphitheatre was built to host 20000 spectators between 27-68AD and is the only remaining Roman amphitheatre in the world with a complete circle wall. Every year, thousands of ravers descend on Pula for two incredible festivals, Dimensions and Outlook. You can catch a ferry from just outside Pula to visit the tiny car-free islet Veli Brijun. Animals roam free in the parkland which is part of the Brijuni National Park. At Excellence Luxury Villas we pride ourselves on going that little bit further for our guests.
