Black Diamond Lodge is a luxurious chalet beautifully set over three floors. It’s the perfect option for family groups or those looking for a beautiful room in a shared chalet! Owned and run by the lovely Paul and Lizzy, you are guaranteed a warm welcome and can relax safe in the knowledge that they’ll take care of the smallest detail on your behalf!
Black Diamond Lodge was designed with year-round activity in mind. It’s an ideal location for a ski holiday and when booked exclusively for a winter break it comes complete with your own personal driver. Couple that with a single lift pass which gives you skiing in three countries (Courmayeur in Italy via the Mont Blanc tunnel, and Veriber in Switzerland) and it’s perfect spot for snow sports!
In the summer, hiking, climbing, paragliding, trail running and cycling all come into their own. Specialist holidays and triathlon camps are available too, so all that’s left is for you to decide the balance between action-packed and chilled-out!

In the winter Black Diamond Lodge offers a ski shuttle service (or when the chalet is booked exclusively our VIP driving services) giving drop-off and pick up from any of the valley’s five ski areas. When snow conditions are good it’s possible to reach the Les Houches ski area easily on foot and then ski back to the chalet! The Chamonix valley has a reputation as one of the best winter sports destinations in the world and guests can choose to ski any of the five areas in the valley or a host of other resorts which are only a short drive away.
The Chamonix Unlimited Ski Pass also includes Courmayeur, Italy and Verbier, Switzerland so (if you fancy the challenge!) you can ski in three separate countries during your stay. In the winter choose from: skiing, snowboarding, cross country/Nordic skiing, ski touring, ski mountaineering, and snow shoeing. Summer activities include: hiking, trail running, climbing, mountaineering, paragliding, mountain biking, road cycling, swimming, white water rafting, hyrospeeding and a host of other sports.
Year round there are activities for all ages and all tastes from trips to the Mer de Glace to Michelin starred restaurants for lunch and from yoga classes to luxury spas. Just tell us what you like to do and we’ll be able to recommend the perfect way to spend your stay!Black Diamond Lodge’s owners work with professional chef Emma Lawrenson to provide memorable and delicious food and matched wines, and if the chalet is booked exclusively preferences and menus will be discussed with guests in advance.
In winter, Black Diamond Lodge is available on an exclusive catered or on a self-catering basis. In summer, the Lodge is available on a self-catered basis. Self-catering guests always have the option of catered evenings and we are always happy to menus and prices as required for anything from a simple BBQ to a sumptuous dinner party.
New for 2016 – VIP Driver Service. Driver at your disposal from 8am to 6pm daily for travel within the Chamonix valley. This is included in the price of fully-catered weeks when hiring the chalet exclusively. Available as an add-on for any self catering booking at a cost.
