Villa Juan is a lovely, homely base to explore the wonderful, sunny beaches of the Costa Blanca. With three comfortable bedrooms sleeping six it would suit a family or group of friends. Situated in Calpe, it is between Alicante and Valencia airports in a well-maintained, smart development.  Calpe is a very popular destination on the Costa Blanca with a fascinating history and some remnants of the past, such as the Roman Baths. Embraced by a fabulous landscape with vineyards and mountains, Calpe is probably best known for its amazing beaches and delicious cuisine. If you like a buzzing tourist destination with amazing, year-round good weather, fantastic beaches, an atmospheric, historic old quarter, delicious local seafood, many outdoor activities and festivals and great nightlife, then Calpe is a great destination for you.   Villa Juan is so warm and inviting with its honey-coloured walls. It is so bright and cheerful! The swimming pool is surrounded by a terrace with sun loungers ready for that holiday tan. Steps lead up to a smart terrace with lovely pool views and direct access through two sets of doors to the open-plan lounge and dining room. It is so bright and modern with very comfortable furniture and a satellite TV. The well-equipped kitchen will be perfect for preparing delicious meals. There are three very spacious, modern bedrooms of which one is a king and the other twins, though one of the twins has the beds together so you can use this as an extra-large bed.
The king bedroom has a small balcony with views over the pool and out towards the Calpe waterfront and the wonderfully symbolic rock Penon Ifach.  The three bathrooms are immaculate and fully tiled. One has a walk-in shower and the others baths with shower attachments over the baths. The villa has a huge garage and plenty of parking space for two cars. The development is so tidy and smart. It is in a great position to enjoy this wonderful area.Villa Juan is 2km from Calpe city, 2-3km from large supermarkets, 3km from the superb Playa Arenal-Bol sandy beach and 3km from the rocky La Manzanera beach. The wonderfully clear, turquoise, calm waters lap up against 13km of shore in this area. The massive Penon de Ifach rock features on most postcards. You can hike up for breathtaking views. Either side of the majestic rock is stunning beaches, Cantal-Roig to one side and Arenal-Bol on the other.
Arenal-Bol is the biggest and busiest beach with plenty of activity. In the high season, there is a special service to help those with limited mobility to swim. So lovely! Watersport enthusiasts will love Calpe. There are endless opportunities to challenge yourself. At Cala Les Bassetes you can practice kayaking, sailing, diving, windsurfing and stand-up paddleboarding. Cala El Raco is fantastic for snorkelling. Playa La Fossa is the place for jet ski enthusiasts.  The promenade is always a hive of activity with many restaurants, cafes, bars and shops. You will find that deep-rooted traditions co-exist harmoniously with a buzzing tourist industry in Calpe. Luxury gourmet restaurants blend so well with the comfy tapas bars. There is a lovely, colourful street market which is a great place to pick up local produce as well as souvenirs. The old quarter is protected by the old walls which were constructed in the 15th century to keep the pirates out. The small, picturesque cobbled streets and decorated stairs are so charming. You should get your camera ready for the magnificent murals around. There are great ways to get around Calpe. You can hire cycles, scooters and also Segway. If you can tear yourselves away from the beaches and the villa, the countryside around Calpe is so attractive. Old typical farms can be seen in the surrounding hillsides, surrounded by luscious vineyards. The Sierra de Olta natural park is a forestry jewel. There are amazing hikes where you will be rewarded with fantastic views of the Marina coast from Serra Gelada to Montgo as well as the nearby Sierra de Bernia. Calpe is excellent for cycling with its beautiful, hilly landscape and unparalleled sea views. Professional cycling teams often choose it as a training camp.
