Villa Benahavis is one of Andalucia’s finest and most authentic homes. It was the former summer residence of a Duke from Madrid and his family. The villa, with 7 fantastic bedroom suites sleeping 14 guests, offers peace and tranquillity as well as sumptuous, palatial accommodation in a countryside setting. The villa is set in its own grounds surrounded by mature olive groves and is approached via its own tree-lined avenue. It is a very special place with authentic Andalucian character and charm. Steeped in history, the villa has been sympathetically upgraded over the past few years. Located just four kilometres from the village of Montellano which is perfectly located as a starting point to discover the impressively scenic western Andalucia.Sevilla and Ronda are both just under an hours drive away and are both just two of the most wonderful places which you have to cross off your must-see list.  Many people say that if Sevilla had a beach, it would have it all and to be honest, we think it does. Within just over an hours drive you can get to some of the best beaches in Andalusia in the area of Cadiz “ Costa de La Luz.” There are several atmospheric living spaces, one bright and airy featuring a wonderful stone open fireplace and another warm and inviting with a log burner and beamed ceiling. The country kitchen is enormous with superb fittings. The Hamman is delightful and a real gem to relax in.  Villa Benahavis’ numerous terraces and patios take ‘outdoor living’ to a new level. There are intimate places to hide and relax everywhere, boasting delightful views in every direction. You can enjoy breakfast on a terrace in the warm sunshine or find a shady spot to laze in the afternoon and catch up on your holiday read. The lounge area next to the pool is wonderful. The swimming pool is very attractive, with stunning views and plenty of loungers.  If you are looking for a luxurious stay where you are secluded and surrounded by glorious countryside, Villa Benahavis is just perfect. If You’ve ever wanted to walk on the same Golden sands as Pierce Brosnan and Halle Berry, then this is your chance. The beauty of La Caleta beach which is just over an hours drive away from Montellano has captivated many Hollywood stars, and its beautiful golden sands are also featured in the James Bond film die another day.  La Loma del Puerco is also another fabulous beach to visit which again is just over an hours drive from the villas. Better Know as Playa del Puerco, it isn’t the easiest of beaches to access due to its secluded location, but it is well worth thE visit. With fine golden sands and a great beach for a gentle surf. Calas de Roche also knows as Calas de Poniente are an amalgamation of small coves – Cala Encendida, Cala Aspero, Cala Pato, Cala Medina and Cala Frailecillo. Surrounded by steep cliffs which is a good option on windier days and some of which are perfect for nudism ( the most uncrowded ones).
Most of these coves are easily accessible by flights of stairs and have parking areas nearby.
The Costa de la Luz is the section of the Andalusian coast of Spain which faces the Atlantic, extending from Tarifa in the south along the coast of eth Province of Cadiz and the Province of Huelva right up to the opening of the Guadiana River.
Apart from being home to the best beaches in Andalucía with its privileged all-year-round sunshine, there are also ample opportunities and facilities for leisure activities like fine dining, golf, kitesurfing and lots of different watersports.
The coast is especially noted for the beauty of its protected natural reserves and several first-rate natural attractions.
