Arriving at the villa, the safety of your group is paramount with a private security gate that can be only accessed by residents and the property owner. A spacious driveway and courtyard provide ample secure parking space for your vehicles. A natural wall of plants and trees surround the villa, giving your group the utmost privacy during your break, truly allowing you to unwind and just be yourselves.
Stepping into the villa, bright traditional decor greets you with cool terracotta-style tiles and decor in varying shades of blue, yellow and brown. Stained glass accents illuminate the property in rainbows of light while the sun shines.
Casa Cueva is lovely and spacious, with lots of room for guests to spread out and do their own thing when they want. Your central living area has two good-sized comfy sofas that focus around a traditional fireplace and a large flat-screen TV. For readers, a communal bookcase offers books left by previous guests for you to discover and enjoy.
Casa Cueva invokes feelings of a traditional farmhouse with high ceilings and gorgeous exposed beams and brickwork throughout. Just a 45-minute drive away from Malaga Airport, Casa Cueva is the perfect place to enjoy a laid back break on the Costa del Sol. Away from the hustle and bustle of Nerja centre and major resorts like Malaga and Marbella, Casa Cueva is perfect for holidaymakers looking to slow down and escape for a while in the sun.
While getting around on foot is possible, the area that Casa Cueva is in is relatively steep and hilly and quite far away from most amenities. For example, your nearest supermarket is a Lidl which takes around 20 minutes to walk to, but walking back to the villa will be all uphill, so it’s best to rent a car during your stay.
With a car, you can get into the heart of Nerja easily, where you’ll find lots of local shops, cafes, restaurants and bars as well as beautiful sandy beaches. There are several beaches to choose from in Nerja, though the largest is Playa de Burriana, where you’ll be able to rent sunbeds and participate in water-based activities like parasailing.
The surrounding area of Nerja is particularly popular with history and nature lovers as the region has some excellent natural and archaeological sites to visit. Just a 10-minute drive away from your villa is the Cueva de Nerja, a fascinating underground system famous for its dramatic stalactites and stalagmites with guided tours available.
