On the ground floor, the open-plan design means you can take it easy on the huge lounge sofa while chatting to friends in the dining area or kitchen. Whitewashed walls have a soothing effect and added to the style are huge potted plants, lantern candles and large oriental rugs. The sleek kitchen with its shiny surfaces and modern appliances features a cheerful breakfast bar and overlooks an elegant dining table that invites sociability. On sunny days, you’ll want to throw open the glass doors that lead to a glorious terrace, and enjoy the warm mountain breeze. There’s also an en suite bedroom on this floor.
The whole of the upstairs is given over to a stunning master bedroom featuring floor to ceiling glass doors and a pristine bathroom. Neutral tones and a mahogany bedframe add elegance but the real draw card is the private terrace with its sweeping sea and mountain views. What a treat. You can even enjoy the views while in the bathtub. The remaining three bedrooms are located on the lower ground floor. All are en suite, light and airy. There’s even an additional unfurnished space on this floor that can be put to good use as a private gym, den for the children or home cinema room.
Outside, several terraces overlook a lush garden. Enjoy a good book under a shady palm or make your way down some steps and plunge into the infinity pool. Afterwards take it easy on a lounger and soak up the sun. But come evening, the ground floor terrace is the place to congregate. Throw some fresh fish on the barbeque and dine al fresco while watching the day’s colour slowly fade to night.
Although the villa is set in an exclusive residential area there are plenty of nearby amenities and golf courses, and it’s also a mere 5-minute drive to Puerto Banus with its luxury marina, designer shops, fine restaurants and glamorous nightlife. Las Lomas de Nueva Andalucia is located west of Marbella in the hills of Nueva Andalucía. A gated community, it offers exceptional living with panoramic sea and mountain views. It’s the perfect spot for those who want to be among nature with walking trails and a lake adding to the tranquillity. During the summer, pack a picnic and make the short walk to Lago de los Tortugas. This small and attractive lake is a lovely place for the whole family, and children can swim in the water and enjoy the thrill of spotting resident turtles.
Nueva Andalucia is also known as “Golf Valley” due to the proximity of the famous Las Brisas, Los Naranjos and Aloha golf courses. These are some of the finest courses on the Costa del Sol and all offer 18-holes set against stunning mountain views.
After a day on the green be sure to stop at Aloha pueblo village. Just 5-minutes drive from the villa it’s a picturesque spot built to resemble an Andalucían village. Stroll through the piazzas and squares with their fountains and flowers, then spot for a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants. There are also several bars where you can enjoy a cool drink and watch sport on the large screen TV. Other activities on offer in Nueva Andalucía include tennis, paddle tennis and several gymnasiums.
If you’re in the mood for a spot of shopping, boutique stores and supermarkets can be found 10-minutes drive away at Centro Plaza. This huge shopping centre also boasts a huge selection of restaurants, while on Saturday the surrounding area plays host to a lively market where you can browse the stalls and pick up a cashmere jumper or antique piece of jewellery.
While Nueva Andalucía offers plenty to do and see, the town of Puerto Banus is a popular spot for those seeking glitz and glamour. Just 10-minutes by car from the villa, spend an afternoon browsing the designer stores then stop at the harbour for a cool drink and gaze at the super yachts bopping on the water. There are several beaches in the area including the popular Nueva Andalucia Beach. Here you can rent a pedalo or kayak, swim in the calm waters or simply enjoy feeling the sand between your toes.
