Villa Angiola is located just 3 km from Makarska town centre which is situated on the Dalmatian coast between Split and Dubrovnik. This area is home to stunning stretches of beach and is at the base of the breathtaking and impressive Mount Biokovo. This is a popular tourist destination with a Mediterranean climate and it is located a 1 hour and 20 minutes drive from Split Airport. Villa Angiola is a newly built 2019 property, this end of terrace villa has a contemporary décor, the light and airy style combined with pops of colour and vintage style furnishing gives this villa a lovely finish. Outside you will be able to see the stunning mountain scenery and observe the views of the sea and the islands of Brac and Hvar. There are 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms which make it a fantastic stay for a large family or a group of friends. When entering the villa you will come across the open living space which is surrounded by 3 large sets of sliding doors, these allow plenty of light in and give you glimpses of the stunning views and access to the outside area. There is a fully equipped kitchen ready to use, a large dining table and a comfy lounge. If you head upstairs to the next level you will find the 3 double bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms have small balconies with tables and chairs where you can further admire the views. Outside you will find a dining area with table and chairs and a small utility area which includes a barbecue and sink so you are all set to enjoy an evening meal out in the fresh air. There is also a comfy seating area ideal for sitting back and relaxing in a peaceful environment with a drink in your hand. A fantastic feature of this villa is the heated swimming pool so you can take a dip at any time without worrying about it being too cold. By the pool, you will find umbrellas and sunbeds ready for you to recline and soak up the sun. There are 3 parking spaces available for your convenience and free Wi-Fi and air-conditioning are available throughout the villa.Villa Angiola is located on the outskirts of Makarska town, this popular destination is known for its sunny weather, stunning beaches and striking mountain scenery. The villa is mainly surrounded by other holiday properties but there is the main supermarket located at a 13-minutes walk, ideal for getting all those needed supplies. As you get closer to the town and coast there is an abundance of cafes and restaurants.
Makarska public beach is located at about 2.5 km from the villa, this long stretch of pebbled beach has clear water, lovely views and shaded areas provided by pine trees. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes to choose from and sunbed and umbrella hire are available. There are also facilities to hire jet skis, paddle boats and paddleboards as well as opportunities to take part in activities such as parasailing and windsurfing. If the town beach gets a little too crowded another excellent option is Brela beaches located 14 km from Makarska. Take the coastal path if you fancy a lovely and scenic route either on foot or by bike if you prefer to drive don’t worry there are plenty of car parks available. The pretty beaches of Brela have crystal clear water and are surrounded by pine trees. If you walk on past the hotels you will reach Brela’s most stunning beach which has fantastic sea and mountain views and is the home of the iconic Brela rock, a fantastic place to relax, enjoy the scenery and take some holiday pictures.
While in Makarska make sure you visit Kacic Square, the town’s main plaza where you will come across the 17th-century baroque style St. Mark’s church and bell tower. The square is also home to a Venetian drinking fountain from 1775 and a monument dedicated to Andrija Kačić Miošić, a Franciscan and Croatian folk poet. This picturesque square combined with the dramatic Mount Biokovo background is a stunning view to admire and take in. If you want to buy fresh produce and flowers there is a small local market that sets up every morning next to the church. If you want to learn more about the town’s history then head to the Franciscan Monastery where you can explore the gallery, library and the unique collection of shells and fossils in the Malacological museum. Makarska harbour is a lovely place to take a stroll, walk along the promenade lined with palm trees while looking out at the sea and boats. There are plenty of tours that depart from the harbour, kiosks for you to peruse and lots of restaurants and cafes to choose from.
If you are feeling adventurous why not hike up the Biokovo Mountain range, the most popular walk is Vosac Peak at only 2.9 km from the town centre, this walk offers stunning views. If you fancy a challenge then head up to the highest peak Sveti Jure.
