Villa Datumi is located in Svetvinčenat, which is a pretty, medieval town in the south of Istria – a little known spot which is largely undiscovered by the tourist trade, it is a hidden jewel in the crown of this stunning peninsula.
The medieval castle of the family Morisini-Grimani in the summer months comes alive with the Istraetnojazz festival, and the strikingly beautiful main square offers centre stage for the traditional Festival of Dance and Nonverbal Theatre.
The summer months also see the city vibrant with a cheese festival as well as a medieval festival, which has as its centre events medieval castle Morosini-Grimani. In late autumn, in the Festival of wine takes place, with locals from surrounding villages offering their home-made “vino di casa” for tasting and sharing.
Awash with history and fresh, affordable cuisine, Pula boasts stretches of glittering Adriatic coastland and the most complete Roman colosseum in the world. Summer time brings a lively blend of music events, open air theatre and festivals, whilst the region is known for its excellent sea food.
The airport is only fifteen miles away, making this an effortless holiday option. 
Venturing outside Pula, there is so much to see. Among our pick would be making a trip to Fažana where visitors can take a short boat ride to the car-free island of Veli Brijun. Here visitors can happily spend a half-day wandering through luscious parkland, complete with deer and peacocks, and drink coffee in the shade of pine trees.
