Constructed with traditional stone, this home embodies the charm and elegance of Dalmatia, even incorporating exposed stone walls into the interior design. These living spaces are simply spectacular, boasting entirely contemporary and sophisticated designs, ranging from this lovely modern kitchen to the elegant formal dining area and cosy lounge. The living area features two large sofas and an armchair for relaxation, while you can enjoy these stunning sea views right from the dining table!
Decide between these four wonderful bedrooms when it’s time for a little rest. On the ground floor are the first two rooms, one twin and one double, with the remaining two doubles on the second floor, with sublime sea-views. Both elegant ground-floor rooms enjoy fantastic ensuite facilities, while there is an additional bathroom on the first and second floors. Views from each bedroom window offer stunning vistas over the landscape and the sea, while one of the top floor rooms even offers an incredible private balcony!
Head out onto your immense terrace for the best of the sea views. In the distance, you can enjoy the dramatic sight of Hvar rising out of the sea! On the seafront terrace, you can kick back in one of these fantastic loungers for a little sunbathing with these perfect views, before enjoying a round or two of table tennis, perfectly shaded by these fragrant trees. Around the other side of the villa is your superb private pool, with yet more loungers in which to relax in between invigorating dips in these refreshingly cool waters. There’s a wonderful BBQ area around the side of the villa, with a little shaded seating area. You’ll also find a gym right next door if that’s what you’re into.
Less than 3km away from the picturesque beach in Podgora, you’ll find fun and adventure just a stone’s throw away. The town of Podgora is a calm haven along this beautiful coastline, while you’re only 20 minutes from the magical town of Makarska and ­­­­1.5 hours from Split, with its famous Diocletian’s Palace, the fortress-like complex at its centre, built in the 4th century!Upon the hillside looking out over the sea and the island of Hvar, Villa Dorina is ideally located to enjoy the sun, sea and superb coastline of Dalmatia, as well as the stunning interiors around the Biokovo mountain area.
Just 20 minutes away is the traditional town of Makarska, a quaint and charming spot bursting with life in the summer months – with pavement cafes and restaurants about and a wondrous church at the heart of it. Markets selling everything from fresh produce, including seasonal fruit and vegetables, to local wares, line the streets and the beautiful harbour, from where you can take trips out to the many surrounding islands, such as the famous Hvar and Brac.
A myriad of enchanting towns and villages are nestled among the undulating countryside of the Croatian interior, and if you take a boat trip through the 3000+ islands you’ll see traditional buildings dotting the coastline of each! The area offers the perfect rural retreat for the utmost relaxation, but if it’s entertainment you’re after, the Omiš and Cetina river offers a fabulous range of activities including rafting, a zip-line, boat tours and even day trips to Brač island. Active holiday-makers will be delighted with the offerings, including windsurfing, scuba diving, rock climbing, hang-gliding and walking. Both along the dramatic coastal paths and in the mountains inland, you will find an abundance of pristine paths for cycling and rugged off-road hiking trails.
