Villa Girts offers three floors of luxury living, will spacious living areas opening out onto stunning balconies and terraces, so you maintain a constant connection to the serene setting. Located in Sukošan, just a 30-minute drive from the historic walled town of Zadar, this is the perfect escape from the city hustle, offering a completely relaxing setting for a group of friends or family.
The front door opens into a spacious entrance hall, with space to sit, take off your shoes and store any bags and belongings. The hall leads through into your main open-plan living space, with sliding glass doors that lead out onto the terrace and fill the space with light, making it feel bright and open, perfect for meandering in and out of the sun as the day goes by. A partial wall and stunning fireplace offer a gentle division between the living area and the kitchen, with a more intimate feel to the living area and a more open, social ambience around the kitchen and dining space. This room offers all the room you need for a group of ten guests, catering for those who want to curl up and read books on the sofa, as well as those who want to sit around the table and kitchen all night, sharing stories and laughter alongside a bottle or two of local wine!
Upstairs, each of the bedrooms is as luxurious as the last, with large king-size beds, en-suite bathrooms and romantic balconies. With no alarms to set in the morning, you can settle down each night, feeling the last of your worries melt away, allowing your body and your mind to completely relax.

Outside, Villa Girts feels private and tranquil, with plenty of outdoor seating, a summer kitchen and an outdoor dining space. The terrace opens out towards the private pool, with a playground for kids on one side and a pretty garden on the other. The pool is heated, so can be used all year round, bordered by sun loungers and seating where you can put your feet up and fully relax!

Sukošan is popular as a base for exploring Dalmatia, with the Krka waterfalls less than an hour away, as well as five well-known national parks and two nature parks all easily reachable from the town. If you enjoy immersing yourself in nature, then you should visit the National Park Kornati, National Park Paklenica, Plitvice Lakes National Park and nature parks Telascica, Vrana Lake and Velebit – plenty to keep you busy during your stay!
From the villa, there are several idyllic beaches all within a short drive. The Sukošan area is known for its family-friendly beaches, with a mixture of beautiful sandy and pebble shores, all with calm, tranquil waters to swim in. Most of the nearby beaches have sandy, shallow bottoms to the sea, perfect for young kids to play in safely. The main city beach ‘Djecji raj’ is a well-known children’s paradise, with fun water sports available in the summer months and calm, shallow waters all year round.
During your stay, you must visit the vibrant and historic walled town of Zadar. The town is a transport hub, with ferry connections to all the nearby islands, perfect if you want a day trip to explore somewhere different! We recommend taking a boat trip across the harbour, where you will find elderly ladies selling local cheese in the markets and you can visit the roman ruins, some stones of which have been used to build the beautiful 9th century St Donat’s Church.
Zadar itself is bursting with sights to see, with medieval churches and the well visited Sea Organ, where several stairs descend to the sea with pipes and whistles playing various chords and tones! The town has a young, vibrant energy to it, with bustling restaurants, cafes and bars, as well as nightlife spots for lively evenings out.
