Villa Hyla is like having your own personal retreat. A new, luxury, contemporary 5 bedroom villa sleeping up to 12 people, it is in the perfect location of Petraca, just 10 minutes outside of the fabulously popular Dubrovnik, yet quiet and peaceful and only a 7minutes walk to a beautiful sandy beach. This fantastic, white, box style villa sits majestically in front of a steely grey backdrop of the hills and lush pine, olive and cypress trees. It looks wonderful, nesting in the hill above the azure waters. The terrace and garden area is perfect to relax in. There will be a rush to laze on the amazing rocking sun loungers and double rocking seats. They are so cool! The pool is fantastic with its shallow steps – perfect for everyone to have fun in. The al fresco dining area is wonderful for sunny family or friends dinners. There is a badminton court which is great fun and brilliant for some competitive family time. Inside, the open plan living and dining area of the villa is sleek and trendy with its glossy floors, fabulous furnishings, modern art work and immaculate kitchen. There is a downstairs king bedroom with en-suite which looks out onto the pool area. Upstairs there are 4 further sumptuous bedrooms with stunning private en-suites. The glass fronted balcony is lovely with its terrace space above the downstairs bedroom. Villa Hyla is perfect for those seeking a relaxing break yet wanting to discover Dubrovnik and its Old Town. Close enough to visit and enjoy the magical charms of Dubrovnik Old Town, yet so close to beaches and the other charms of the Dubrovnik Riviera, Petraca is a fantastic holiday destination. Dubrovnik Old Town’s picturesque shops, restaurants and historic sights will charm you. There is a fantastic atmosphere if you can get a table for lunch or dinner in the delightful marina and port. This up-market destination is incredibly popular and you will see why! There are 3 entrances to the walled city of Dubrovnik – Pile which is the main gate, Ploca by the port and Buze between the 2. Buze Gate will take you in via steep staircases. Placa Stradun is the wide, flat main street running the length of the city. The market in Gundulic Square sells mainly candied orange peels and figs which are classic there. You can take a ferry to Lokrum Island between May and September. It is full of pine trees, grassy areas for reading a book or having a picnic and hundreds of birds chirping away! Visiting Lokrum which make you feel like you are worlds away from Dubrovnik! If you leave through the Ploca Gate there is a lovely panoramic walk along Frana Supila Street. You will get stunning views over Dubrovnik and the sea.  Mount Srd can be reached by cable car, car or hiking. It boasts amazing views. If you get the cable car up you might want to hike back. You can take a path in Bosanka leading back to the Old Town which is wonderful. The Peljesac Penisula is a premier wine region of Croatia. Why not tour the local vineyards and sample the local wines, stopping at the charming villages of Ston and Trstenik? Alternatively, you could cross the border into Bosnia and Herzegovina and take in the stunning natural beauty of Mostar, with its iconic bridge spanning the meandering river below. Along the way, you could stop at the religious pilgrimage site of Medjugore and the UNESCO-listed city of Pocitelj. Spending a day in charming Montenegro exploring the natural beauty and historical cities of Petast and Kotor is incredible.
