Villa Irana is a traditional and spacious property with a luscious garden, comfortably sleeping six guests across three bedrooms. It is nestled in the heart of the Istrian countryside near the small town of Radetići. Guests can enjoy the tranquillity from the private pool in this peaceful neighbourhood.
As guests enter the villa, they are welcomed into the centre of the ground floor. The well-designed layout brings guests into a warm and traditional setting of the spacious living room, with wooden beamed ceilings and beautiful natural stone. The large sofas provide plenty of space for all the guests to get cosy in front of the fire, particularly good for the cooler months. There is also a pool table for everyone to enjoy some fun competition throughout the day. Also downstairs, a large kitchen and dining room continue the traditional décor. The kitchen has plenty of space for group cooking, and the dining table in the heart of the room is perfect for a group meal with your loved ones.
Upstairs, three double bedrooms complete the sleeping arrangements. Each room feels light and airy with lots of space and plenty of wardrobe space, so no need to pack light! The beautiful bedrooms are filled with light and offer a wonderful retreat for a moment of privacy for yourself and your partner. Each room has access to the balcony, where guests can enjoy a morning coffee while taking in the beautiful scenery. All three bedrooms also offer their own en-suite shower rooms for additional privacy, with the master bedroom also featuring a bath for some bubbly luxury away from the rest of the group.
It is outdoors where Villa Irana sets itself apart. Entering the garden from the large French doors, guests will step out to the shady veranda. Spanning the length of the house, it offers a cool and calm haven to enjoy the garden from. Home to an outdoor dining table and barbecue, it adds a touch of magic to any evening meal. Walking down the lawn and between the old olive trees, you will find your way to the private pool and terrace area. The pool is the ideal way to cool off from the hot sun, after finishing your favourite summer read on one of the sun loungers available. Guests can even take a seat on the terrace and enjoy a cool glass of wine as the sun starts to drop on another beautiful day in Istria.Villa Irana is just outside the quiet village of Radetići. This peaceful neighbourhood is off the beaten track, so if you are looking to escape the busy tourist towns in the region, this is the ideal retreat. Surrounded by beautiful scenery and with a huge garden, the villa provides a wonderful taste of the Croatian lifestyle.
Istria is renowned for its food and culinary history. As one of the biggest truffle suppliers in Europe, along with a deep Italian influence, the food is amazing. Be sure to take a tour of the local tavernas and sample the different delicacies during your stay as you won’t be disappointed. With a vast array of vineyards and olive groves in the area, take a tour of one of the local groves to taste why the Croatians are so proud of their olive oil and wine.
Istria is steeped in incredible history and influences from the Romans, Byzantines and Venetians are still found today. The nearby town of Rovinj is a wonderful example of Venetian architecture. Walk through the winding streets of the old town and make your way to the marina. This is a great spot to watch the beautiful sunset fall as the fisherman return for the day, all with a cool glass of wine from one of the waterside restaurants.
A little further afield a trip to the region’s capital, Pula is well worth it. The city hosts one of the worlds best-preserved Roman amphitheatres and still host live events today! Pula offers a more lively atmosphere with street performers and market stalls selling traditional jewellery and other trinkets.
For some water sport excitement, head to Umag. This small seaside town is home to some amazing adventures. You can try your hand at water skiing or ride inflatables over the waves as a speed bat zips through the water. All around Istria there are beautiful cycle routes and walking trails, these flow through the rugged terrain and peaceful pine forests and are a must-do for any trip to Istria!
