Holiday Home Rental Description
With exquisite design, beautiful contemporary furnishings and gorgeous terraces and a pretty garden, the newly built Villa Landi is perfect for a family or friends holiday. Its three beautifully finished double bedrooms sleep 6 guests in luxurious comfort.
The villa enjoys a wonderful plot, very close to the sea, in Jakasnica on the island of Pag. Pag is the fifth largest of the Croatian islands and is famous for its beautiful, intricate lace, its delicious Paski Sir cheese and its vibrant nightlife. Pag is an island of fascinating austere beauty. Novalja is the island’s party town, with Zrce Beach the summer nightlife hot spot. The island is steeped in history with many ancient buildings. It is very easy to reach the island as it is linked to the mainland by a bridge.
Villa Landi was built in 2019 and enjoys a beautiful exterior with stone and glass architecture. The design is stunning and makes the most of its gentle hillside position. The sea views from the upper terrace are beautiful, all framed by ancient olive trees. Throughout the villa you will find lovely, mellow colour themes featuring lots of greys and dusky pinks with occasional colour pops such as the brilliant turquoise sofa and chairs in the living room.
The ground floor is home to one double bedroom with a gorgeous walk-in shower room and the open plan living area. The living space very much incorporates the sensational outdoor terrace with floor-to-ceiling doors and windows making up the rear elevation. The sleek, contemporary kitchen features a huge American style fridge freezer and a large island for indoor dining. The lounge area is gorgeous with its sumptuous furnishings. Doors open to the very generous alfresco terrace featuring a covered lounge area complete with a small outdoor kitchen area and alfresco dining. Guests may be rushing for the modern egg chair! Deluxe loungers and an outdoor shower surround the fabulous 34 sqm swimming pool and a pretty garden wraps around the villa. It is truly an idyllic spot where you can truly relax in style.
A very contemporary floating staircase leads upstairs to a further two dreamy double bedrooms, both with gorgeous wet rooms. The tiling and finishing of the bathrooms is absolutely delightful. You will not be rushing to get ready in this luxury. One of the bedrooms offers a huge television with gaming, a likely hit with any teens in your group. The upper terrace is fabulous. You can laze on one of the loungers enjoying, not only the beautiful Croatian sunshine, but the fabulous panoramic views of the sea.
Villa Landi is sublime, a fabulous, luxurious retreat on this wonderful island and just steps from the beach.Surrounded by the steely blue Adriatic, Pag Island is a dramatic, rocky island easily reached from the Croatian mainland. It is linked by a bridge with a lovely, scenic drive taking you to the island. There are a dozen or so villages and hamlets and the two main towns, Pag Town and Novalja, the party town. The island has long-standing traditions of cheese and wine making with the Pag cheese being one of Croatia’s most celebrated culinary exports. The cheese comes from the village of Kolan. The island has become very popular, mainly due to its open air clubs and summer festivals, though it has many other charms. Pag Town is famous for its winter and summer carnivals where you will see the traditional folk dance, the Pasko kolo, performed.
The 37 mile long island features many beautiful beaches and many historic buildings, particularly in Pag Town. Its 15th century Church of the Assumption enjoys a wonderfully ornate stone rose window. The Church of St Margaret is next to the Benedictine Monastery, still home today to the Benedictine nuns who have played an important role in education and charity work on the island. The Rector’s Palace is now used for cultural events though was once the residence of the Venice appointed Duke. The Pag Lace Museum can be found in the town with lovely displays of local lace making.
In Novalja, the Gradski Muzel offers various archeolgical finds and holds art exhibitions during the summer. In Kolan, you can visit the award-winning Sirana Gligora (Gligora Dairy) and discover their cheese production processes and sample the delicious cheese. The natural landscapes of the island are scattered with old monuments from the past. You will discover two lakes, Velo Blato and Malo Blato. One of the most famous beaches is Zrce Beach, a true paradise for party lovers. Sv Duh and Prosika beaches are perfect for families. Other than the island’s cheese, you will also taste traditional Dalmatian dishes such as seafood specialities like octopus, black squid risotto and grilled fish. The Pag lamb is fabulous. It can all be washed down with the delightful local Pag wine Zutica.
Back on the mainland, Zadar is beautiful. Visitors enjoy the natural phenomenon of two equally stunning and yet so different blues, the beautiful, crystal clear Adriatic and Zadar’s Vrana Lake with its ornithological reserve. Zadar’s renowned sunsets are spectacular and to celebrate them, a ‘Monument to the Sun’ was built on the edge of the waterfront. It is an all day 22 metre disc which soaks up the solar rays ready to dazzle visitors with coloured light patterns as night falls. The Sea Organ is an art installation formed by cleverly cutting steps into the promenade. The underwater pipes make musical sounds as if each wave is sighing! The town is excellent for shopping and also enjoys amazing, historical buildings.
Two of the most famous national parks of Croatia are within easy reach of Villa Landi. The breathtaking Kornati Archipelago National Park has so many reefs, headlands, islands and bays. It is so stunning to visit by boat with plenty of opportunity to swim and snorkel. The famous Krka National Park boasts the stunning Skradinksi Buk and Roski Slap waterfalls. Extending along the 73km Krka River, the park runs from the Adriatic near Sibenik inland to the mountains of the Croatian interior. It is a magical place of gorges and waterfalls, with the river gushing through. Visitors take a boat ride to explore the park, passing the waterfalls and the magnificent Visovac monastery, located on an island in a magical setting.
