The extraordinary, contemporary Villa Maestrale was built in the summer of 2020, right on the beachfront at Podstrana, very close to the beautiful towns of Split and Omis. With swanky furnishings, stunning interior design, astonishing views, amazing outside space and state-of-the-art fittings, Villa Maestrale is hard to beat. It boasts four stunning bedroom suites sleeping eight guests in luxurious comfort. Guests are also invited to use the villa’s sofa bed should they have two extra guests.
Podstrana is a small town consisting of five villages, including Gornja Postrana on the Perun Hill, Strozanac, Grlevac, St Martin and Mutogras. The landscape is stunning with mountain peaks, crystal clear, azure seas, 6km of gorgeous beaches and the banks of the River Zrnovnica. Podstrana is an elite, prestigious suburb of the popular, historic town of Split.
Villa Maestrale is built over three levels, with each offering a sensational terrace. As well as classy living and bedroom space, the villa also enjoys a media room with PS4, a deluxe pool table, a pilates corner, a beautiful 8.5m x 3.5m swimming pool and sensational views from almost every corner.
The lower ground floor fun zone enjoys the pool table, a media room with a huge television with surround sound, a bar, a pilates area with mats and fit balls, a shower, toilet and laundry room and a spacious terrace with artificial grass, deluxe lounge furniture and parasols and a children’s corner with some toys. It is also home to the 4th bedroom with a kingsize bed, ensuite shower room and terrace access. The lower ground floor leads up to the pool terrace and internally to the living areas.
The open plan living space is glorious, with a floor-to-ceiling glass wall offering the most amazing sea views. The wood and black kitchen is very stylish with state-of-the-art appliances and a breakfast bar where guests can perch and keep the chef company. The neutral colour palettes of the room contrast beautifully with the colour that pops from the sumptuous, attractive furnishings. Red and grey sofas surround the built-in television and electric fireplace, also enjoying the sensational panorama. Blue and beige dining chairs surround the rich wood table and, above the table, the trendy lighting is delightful. Doors open to the pool deck and swimming pool.
The 8.5m x 3.5m heated pool enjoys hydro-massage and a counter-current swimming programme. Deluxe loungers surround it, plus there is a covered alfresco dining area and an electric barbecue. It is a beautiful space with the sea straight in front of you. An external staircase takes you to the lower ground floor terrace and the upper terrace.
The first floor is home to the remaining bedroom suites. They are heavenly retreats with kingsize beds, immaculate, contemporary ensuite bathrooms with showers and baths, and they all have access to the terrace with its alfresco lounge furniture, a perfect spot for pre-dinner drinks or your early morning cup of coffee.

Villa Maestrale is located in the popular town of Podstrana. The famous Old Town of Split is to the west and the historic, pretty town of Omis and the magical Cetina River are roughly 15km to the east. It is a perfect location for a holiday packed with adventure, stunning scenery, gastronomic delights and relaxation.
Active guests will be delighted with the golf and tennis just 4km from the villa in addition to the watersports on the beach, hiking, biking and all sorts of thrilling activities on the Cetina River.
Split is a seafront gem combining honeycombs of intricate historical buildings such as the Diocletian’s Palace with a cosmopolitan, palm-lined promenade offering tourists a fabulous vibrant holiday experience. The town’s atmospheric, narrow streets are brimming with ancient monuments, charming restaurants, cafes, bars and a good variety of shops. Split oozes a laid-back vibe. The main city beach, Bacvice, is both a perfect place to relax during the day and a popular night-time jaunt in the evening. You can easily take trips to the stunning islands of Hvar, Vis and Brac from Split. Popular with the rich and famous, Hvar is glitzy and boasts a marina full of luxury yachts. Brac is beautiful and home to the famous Zlatni Rat Beach at Bol which adorns most Croatian holiday posters. Vis is a gorgeous, remote, craggy island with a laid-back rural vibe.
Omis, just along the coast, is known as the City of Pirates. It is situated at the mouth of the Cetina River and is home to many churches, the 13th century Fortress Mirabella and the 15th century Fortress Starigrad. The town is known for its delicious gastronomy and boasts outstanding restaurants serving fresh, locally caught fish and smoked ham. Shopping is good in Omis. The town’s Klapa Festival during the summer is good fun with capella singing in churches and squares in the old town.
Flowing from the Dinara mountians, the Cetina River is action-packed with an awesome zipline, canyoning, river tubing, rafting and kayaking. You can even rent see-through kayaks so that when you are paddling down the river you can explore the flora and fauna. Thrilling rafting takes place in the northern part of the river where there are exciting rapids and challenging waterfalls to descend. White water rafting takes place in a section of 10km starting north of Kuciceand passes one of the prettiest beaches, Stuzica. The rafting ends in the village of Blato na Cetini which is a great lunch stop. Canyoning is not for the feint hearted! Expert guides will help adventurous guests plunge into newly discovered rocky areas and clear waters, swim underneath powerful waterfalls, flow down naturally formed chutes and jump into emerald pools. The very bravest can abseil down the 56m high Gubavica waterfall, providing the most exhilirating and unforgettable experience. Paragliding is also very popular with instructors taking younger visitors on tandem flights.
Not to far away is another gem, Trogir. This wonderful walled city, boasts historical buildings such as the Cipiko Palaces and St. Lawrence Cathedral. In the evening everyone leaves the knotted, maze-like, marble streets and gravitates to the graceful, promenade lined with cafes, bars, restaurants and luxury yachts.
