Villa Markoci Croatia

Luxury Villas
| 4 Bedrooms|

Rental Description

Maintaining a thoroughly traditional exterior, Villa Markoci is a breath-taking modern masterpiece with all the wellness and entertainment facilities you could wish for, just a short drive from the vibrant Croatian coastline!
Built in just 2018, this villa is as modern, sleek and stylish as they come. With a wellness suite, outdoor entertainment and luxurious ensuite bedrooms on-site, all the demands of the contemporary traveller are fulfilled in style!
The main living room is vast, spacious and beautiful, with a huge sofa in soft grey in front of the large TV, echoing the floors and furnishing around it. A log burner to one side creates a cosy atmosphere, while the large French doors fill the room with a warm glow.
The dining table sits alongside the sofa, with the beautiful kitchen to the other. There is even a tavern-style room for more casual and lively moments!
For a little relaxation and rejuvenation head over to your private spa – spend a few moments in the fabulous sauna, before taking a dip in the whirlpool bath and enjoying a soothing massage.
If you’re more into working up a sweat and burning off last night’s beers, then make your way to the fitness equipment and do your thing! On this ground floor, there is the first of four great bedrooms.
In total, there are three double rooms and one twin room, and each is as elegant and cosy as the next. All four have soft and subtle colour palettes, a TV and air-conditioning, creating a soothing, relaxing space within, ideal for a little alone time before or after a busy day enjoying Croatia!
Each is accompanied by a beautiful ensuite bathroom, three of which include lovely walk-in showers, while one also has a free-standing bathtub.
On the first floor, all three rooms enjoy direct access to a terrace – giving you immediate access to the vibrant world around you, including a casual seating area for enjoying the sunshine, or under the calming light of the night sky.
Out in the garden, the fun begins! On the veranda, there is a glamorous dining area right beside the barbeque so that you can dine alfresco on a pleasant, sunny day!
Alongside this, there is a table football set, and just around the corner there is table tennis – so you can genuinely get a lively competition going between the kids and big kids alike!
The magnificent centrepiece is, of course, the private pool, surrounded by loungers for a little sunbathing. A lawn encircles the house, with a children’s play area at one end.
Take a short boat from the nearby town of Fažana, about 20 minutes away, to the stunning Brijuni islands – a National Park you can’t miss!
You’re also equidistant from the sublime Kamenjak National Park and the forested beauty of the Učka Nature Park, both around 40 minutes away, so you’ll find all kinds of totally unspoilt nature a stone’s throw away.Just 10 minutes from Pula, the largest city in the region which is brimming with history and magnificent architecture, and less than 13km from the beach, Villa Markoci is perfectly positioned to enjoy all the best bits of the fabulous region of Istria.
In early September Pula indeed comes alive with music and cultural events, many hosted in its ancient Roman Amphitheatre! A very short drive from Pula, on the very southern tip of Istria, is the Kamenjak National Park where you can follow the ‘Dinosaur Path’ to discover dinosaur footprints and admire stunning views over the bay.
A charming heart-shaped peninsula in the north-west of Croatia, Istria is warm, welcoming and perfectly-sized – you can drive the length in around an hour, putting everything within easy reach!
From breath-taking scenery, rich history and a world-famous culinary scene – you will find it all in Istria! As a former part of the Venetian Republic, this region has seen many rulers from the Romans, Byzantines and Austro-Hungarians to the Italians and Yugoslavians.
Now, a myriad of enchanting towns and villages, rich in history and culture, are nestled among the undulating countryside.
Active holiday-makers will be delighted with the offerings: from windsurfing in Medulin to scuba diving in the Brijuni National park and rock climbing, hang-gliding and walking in Buzet along the 15km ‘seven waterfalls’ walk, Istria has it all.
Both along the dramatic coastal paths and in the mountains inland, you will find an abundance of natural paths for cycling (including the scenic Parenzana route over an old railway line from Viznada to the Slovenian border) and rugged off-road hiking trails.
Pick up a trail-map from any of the Tourist Offices, for loads of well-marked routes around the coast and in the Cape Kamenjak.
Much like its neighbouring Italy, Istria is a gastronome’s paradise, home to world-class cuisine and endless rows of vineyards. Be sure to try the local wines, which are often sweet and fruity, using a wide variety of grapes including white Malvasia, red Terrano and Moscato.
Istria is especially famous for its truffles, which you will find served with any dish and sauce! Truffle flavoured olive oil is a typical product of the region, and indeed, you will hardly find a village which does not have its own Olive oil ‘supermarket’!
Both Rijeka and Pula have international airports within a short drive of the villa, while Pula is the main hub for those getting ferries, although there is a daily ferry between Poreč and Venice.
