The wonderfully grand Villa Mekla is a new, modern villa situated in the picturesque Grebastica. It is perfect for a family or group of friends, sleeping eight guests. Grebastica is located 15km south of Sibenik, in a bay near the Ostrica peninsula. Beautiful pebble beaches, crystal clear sea, fabulous dense pine forests, a peaceful local atmosphere and rich gastronomic offer are bound to make this a wonderful holiday destination! Villa Mekla feels quite grand with its white stone and intricate gates. The outside space is wonderful with a lovely pool, sun loungers and covered outdoor dining area. Being fully enclosed, it is perfect for a family. The views of the luscious pine-clad slopes are wonderful. Inside, the open-plan living, dining and kitchen area is very smart and immaculate with a useful breakfast bar. The L-shaped sofa is super comfy! Up the very modern staircase, the fabulous bedrooms with shiny wooden floors, are made up of two doubles and two twins though the beds are together, so it still suits four couples. The en-suite bathrooms are pristine, and the terrace and balcony to some rooms are perfect for admiring the beautiful views. Villa Mekla is a lovely, light and bright villa in a fabulous Croatian location. A perfect base for a wonderful holiday to remember!Sibenik has a magnificent and delightful medieval heart. It is gleaming white buildings, mostly with a red roof, against the azure-blue water and deep green forests are magical. The stone labyrinth of steep backstreets and alleyways is wonderful. The alleyways threaten to lead nowhere but are full of surprises with historic churches and atmospheric squares. St James Cathedral is a renovated masterpiece. On the edge of the historic centre, the pretty Medieval Mediterranean Gardens have been landscaped in the shape of a cross. Sibenik is an important access point for the Krka National Park and the Kornati Islands.
Krka National Park is one of the great natural wonders and is a fantastic day out. You can swim around Skradinski Buk, the lagoon at the foot of a series of 17 dramatic and spectacular waterfalls. It can also be admired from the boardwalks or a boat from where you can also view the Roski Slap waterfall and Visovac, a 16th century monastery. It is a perfect place for trekking along its many trails. You are likely to see golden eagles, boar and peregrine falcons along the way! The Kornati National Park is composed of 140 uninhabited islands and islets covering 300 sqkm, the largest and densest archipelago in the Adriatic. The islands are riddled with caves, grottoes and rugged cliffs and are mostly barren.
