Rental Description

This villa has a lush garden setting and a lovely pool area the lawn is huge, perfect for the whole family to play and relax together. It even has a badminton net and a trampoline, which is bound to be popular with the younger members of the family. At the front of the villa, the square-shaped plunge pool is ideal for a refreshing swim to cool down from the sunshine. There’s a convenient outdoor shower and sunbeds all around the villa, for those who like to bask in the rays.
The exteriors of the villa are peach, with a traditional terracotta roof. Inside, the space is bright and airy, thanks to the large sliding glass doors. Black leather sofas provide the perfect spot to curl up and watch a film on the wall-mounted television with satellite channels. Wildflowers in vases are dotted around the space and vintage maps hang on the walls.
In this area there is a long wooden dining table, where guests can enjoy a meal and there is a matching table on the terrace outside. Surrounded by a short stone wall, this area has open sides and views of the trees. The kitchen is quite compact but has everything you will need to create delicious family feasts. There’s a stove, oven and microwave, and even a dishwasher. Plants are scattered around, to add a homely touch. Outside, there is a traditional barbecue and another modern black glass seating area.
The bedrooms are on the upper floor and attic of this villa, with two double rooms and a family room with one double and two single beds. The two double rooms are chic and minimal, decorated all in white with wooden floors and crisp linen on the beds. One room has a sitting area with a table and fashionable lattice chairs. Although there are three beds in the family room, there’s plenty of space for everyone. On the single beds there are cheerful floral bedspreads. Additionally, there is a small games area with table football that guests can enjoy. This villa is in a small fishing village called Ližnjan, close to the coast. The area is at the southernmost point of Istria and has a charming harbour. Ližnjan is known for its church, which has a glass floor with a stunning painting underneath. The village is reminiscent of the Roman era and is close to Šišan and Medulin. Picturesque Šišan is another village, known for its traditional June fair and for its fishermen, who put on demonstrations to show tourists how to weave nets and repair old-style boats.
Beaches in the nearby area include Bijeca, with its shallow, emerald green sea. It’s breathtaking and has sandy areas, which is rare in Istria. Guests can also try watersports here including water-skiing, windsurfing and diving. Kayaking is also a popular activity at Bijeca beach. Another beaches nearby is Uljeva, perfect for those who love natural, untouched beaches. The shoreline is rocky and the water is dazzling.
Istria has Italian influences, being just two hours from Venice. It also has plenty of relics and architecture left over from the Roman era, particularly in Pula. Hop across the border to Italy and spend a day exploring and indulging in Italian food. Istria’s heart-shaped peninsula is absolutely beautiful.
Medulin is a short drive away, with a wider choice of restaurants and activities. The area is rich in natural beauty, with excellent coastal hiking trails and a fabulous mountain biking route around the Medulin Riviera.
One of the most popular activities is Adventure Park Medulin, a treetop adventure centre. Great for the whole family, this high ropes course has a variety of heights spanning beautiful scenery. Guests can also try paintballing, rock climbing and breathtaking zip lines that are the grand finale of the adventure course.
Istria is famous for its tasty regional cuisine and fresh ingredients, like wild asparagus and chestnuts. A local favourite is pljukanci, a hand-rolled pasta dish served with all sorts of sauces. Medulin’s specialities include risotto, aromatic truffle dishes and Istrian prosciutto. Istria is also famous for its wine – you can tour many vineyards in the area and sample Refošk or Malvazija by the glass as you look out over the rolling countryside and rows of grapes.
Brijuni National Park is a fantastic day trip – it is made up of 14 small islands and can be reached by boat from Pula, Istria’s capital. The islands are famous for their natural beauty and wildlife. Before you arrive, you will enjoy a scenic boat ride with views of the peninsula. There are dinosaur footprints in four areas on the largest island, Viliki Brijuni. At Excellence Luxury Villas we pride ourselves on going that little bit further for our guests.
